I was born in Texas to Jack Carroll Carter, Sr. & JoDell (Pace) Carter, grew up in Kansas and now live in Arkansas. I love doing ancestry and taking photos of old headstones to help other's with their ancestry searches. |
I have learned a lot about using natural lighting to take a good headstone photo since I first started taking photos. I will try to go back and add better photos to the memorials I have added photos to as I can. If you would like to request a "better" photo of a certain one, e-mail me and I will try to get it for you.
My mother's parents were Pace/Watson from Texas and my father's Carter/Joyner from South Carolina.
I will honor family transfers and welcome suggestions and corrections to any of my work. I enjoy researching the history of the people I add. I would like to add parents and spouses to each one. Do not take my work as gospel. Study it out for yourself. If you believe I have made an error or if you have additional information, let me know.

I don't remember if I told you that there is no Sherman cemetery but it is West Hill in Sherman. I posted the photo for this person in West Hill.

Tuscumbia was originally in Franklin Co. Alabama
1867 State of Alabama carved out part of Franklin
and Lawrence Co. TO FORM Colbert Co. Alabama
so if one was born here in this area before
1867 he would have been born in Franklin Co. Alabama. way to watch
have a happy Thanksgiving

Hi, Beckie - I just wanted to ask if it is OK for me to use your headstone and marker photos for my project (on Ancestry.com) on Van Buren Co., Arkansas.
I always give credit to the Find A Grave photographer/contributor, as well as provide the number of the memorial so that others can see the original for themselves.
It has come to my attention that some folks don't like Ancestry.com (since it is a pay site), but I find it a good place to provide information to a lot of folks.
Please let me know, and thanks for all of your work on Find A Grave.

Will be happy to help at any time. As you saw, both were included on the headstone. Did not know that before I asked.
|LKat||Bascomb Rannel Watson|
You are welcome for the photos, glad to add photos to memorial pages.
Yes, you have my permission to use the photos of Bascomb Rannel Watson at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Please use this line:

Thank you very much for being considerate in asking if you could use the photos.

Do you also need his wife, Eunice Boykin Carter?
It is very possible that Laura's parents are buried at Westview and they just don't have markers. One way to find out for sure is to call the cemetery. Here is the number. 404-755-6611
