Welcome! Just to let you know, most of my family roots are in Kentucky; so, if related, I am more than happy to transfer the memorial pages I have created. I love to reunite families with their loved ones. If needed, feel free to use the photographs I have posted on Find A Grave for your personal ancestry documentation. If so inclined, you can always give credit for the source.
I stumbled upon the following poem and thought it was so succinct in describing why we do what we do. . .
THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN
Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where others cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hallowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

I really appreciate all your hard work and help. I think I have learned not to record someone else's transcription. Thanks, John
I have sent Peoples Funeral Home a request for the unreadable information on their internment information tag? I hope they will respond? They should still have the dates and information. I really need those dates. Just to let you know and to stay informed. Thanks again for your photos.

Effort searching for my relatives grave.
I really appreciate your help
Hi Patty...I'm not sure what made me search Corey W Reid's name this morning but I'm glad I did. He's buried a little far from my home and I don't get to visit as much as I want. This makes me feel closer to him.

I see your work all over the place in your area. It's so good to see your efforts are appreciated by all the comments on your Find a Grave page. I wanted to send you a personal "Thanks" and restore your dad's Army photo as close to new as I possibly could. It took a few hours, but not hardly the amount of time you spend snapping pictures and taking the extra time to finally upload them to the website. Kudos to you for finding that extra time. We all love you for that! :)
I placed it on his page and also sent a copy to your email.
Again.. Thanks for all you do!
