Yep, that's exactly where it's located. Here's the story that I added as a caption to the photo....

"George Long's tombstone is actually on display in the local history room of the Yadkinville library. It was loaned to the Yadkin County Historical Society by Jasper S. Long, the author of the book "Long Family Records"."

I'm guessing that he has a more modern replacement stone out at the cemetery, which most likely has thrown off anyone trying to locate it if they were only looking for a stone that looked like it dated back to 1805.

I work with the Yadkin County Historical Society so it wouldn't be all that hard to confirm that.

Diane I walked over this cemetery today and I didnt see any stones this old. Very few before 1900.
