Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been doing my family's genealogy for over 30 years, and am grateful to all those who either helped directly or who have posted info in various places which has helped. I try to pay it forward so others can learn about our shared families.

I am researching, in western NC (and occasionally eastern TN along the NC-TN border): Wheeler, Honeycutt, Hensley, Hampton, Byrd, Silver, Ray, and other associated families.

And in the area where southwest GA, southeast AL, and north FL intersect: Hurst, Davis, Bozeman, Stewart, Swearingen, Perry, and other associated families. Some of this research also extends a little further north and NE into GA, and also a little farther east into AL.

With a couple of exceptions, all the memorials I manage are indeed family members - so unless you are a child or grandchild of someone who is NOT one of my grands I prefer to retain management of the memorial. If you are that child or grandchild, of course I will turn them over to you - those who enter memorials on this site should not be proprietary about what is not theirs. (The exceptions are Luna & Robert Wiggins who are interred in the private Davis Cemetery in GA, to whom I am not related in any way - this is the burial site of my Davis ggg-grand and his 2nd wife and I didn't want to leave the Wigginses off the cemetery listing in case their descendants come looking for them).

Please remember to "pay it forward" when you are asked for help - none of us genealogy researchers would make progress without either the work of others they have made available or without the direct help of other researchers.

Rev Elisha Davis
Hello Cousin,

I am a gg-grandson of Rev Elisha Davis on my mother's side. I wish to inquire if you have any information on his parents, or the parents of Luticia McLeod, who is my gg-grandmother.

Thank you for any assistance you may provide.

RE: Earline Hurst Dearmin photo
Glad I could help. I posted a pic that shows the 'empty' spot to the right of Claude. The info you provided was lots 9 and 10 and my guess, in looking at the layouts, would put her to his right.

Hello dear-heart,
I added it to the Bio just now. Blessings to you.
Been just a little too hot as of late and way too dry. Doesn't seem like we get a whole day of rain anymore during the summer. We just get these tiny 5 minute showers that do absolutely nothing.
Good to hear from you as always,

Jeff

William Raymond Merril
I have transferred Williams Memorial to your care. You can now make any changes that you want for William. I no longer can add or change anything on his Memorial. I'm confident that you will take care and add information and link family members.

In reference to the above mentioned, it seems you may be able to add more to the Memorial than myself. If you want to manage his Memorial just send me a request on the edit tab and I will transfer his Memorial to you to manage. I am related but not as closely as you, its important to me that William has someone that will care for his memorial. Have a great day.

Myrtle Elixman
Irene: I have added the Bio. for Myrtle Elixman. I noticed that Harold Elixman 1939 - 2014 and Patricia Elixman 1941 - 2006
do not have marker photos. I will get photos for them the next time I am at Fairmount. It has been over 100 here for the last three days, when it cools down some I will get out to Fairmount.

Ann "Nancy" Griffith Silver #33842758
It has just been brought to my attention that my posting for Ann "Nancy" Griffith Silver is a duplicate. Accordingly, I will be deleting this memorial. But you had posted a messageto her page, so I wanted to let you know the remaining memorial will be at Nancy Ann Griffith Silver #45794187
Your message:
Nancy is my 4th g-grandmother. The following information comes from the Silver Family newsletter, June 2003 (and bless all the hard-working Silver researchers!):Each of us who descend from the immigrant George Silver and his son George Jr., are also descended from George Jr.'s wife, Nancy Griffith, who accompanied him and their children to KONA. Nancy was the g-g-granddaughter of Maureen Duvall, a French Huguenot who settled in Maryland in 1650. Among Duvall's other descendants are your cousins Harry Truman and the Duchess of Windsor. A Duvall family society was formed in 1926 and they host a family reunion every year that draws folks from as far away as California. Duvall cousins who attend the reunion have found the Duvalls to be warm and welcoming. Nancy Griffith was the g-granddaughter of the Scotsman, John MacCubbin who immigrated from Ayrshire, Scotland around 1660. Through him we are descended from the MacGregors and are reportedly descended from King Kennith MacAlpin. (Publisher: As a scholar of Scottish history I can assure you we descend from Gregor, third son of King MacAlpin. The prefix "Mac" means son of, thus the name of Mac Gregor, son of Gregor. The MacGregors were one of the fiercest Scottish Clans to ever don the kilt and to go into battle with the broadsword, rest assured!)
