I've been doing my family's genealogy for over 30 years, and am grateful to all those who either helped directly or who have posted info in various places which have helped. I try to pay it forward so others can learn about our shared families.

I am researching, in western NC (and occasionally eastern TN along the NC-TN border): Wheeler, Honeycutt, Hensley, Hampton, Byrd, Silver, Ray, and other associated families.

And in the area where southwest GA, southeast AL, and north FL intersect: Hurst, Davis, Bozeman, Stewart, Swearingen, Perry, and other associated families. Some of this research also extends a little further north into GA, and also a little farther NE into GA.

RE: Condolences
Thank you so much. We had been together 60 years and it will be hard to go on without him. Regardless of his age, the death was fairly sudden and unexpected. Keep me in your prayers.

I changed Hattie's name to Henrietta and show her nickname as Hattie. She even named her baby after herself. That is not problem either.

I am not seeing him listed twice or as his own as a sibling. But, he is a sibling to his sibling so you are seeing him shown as such. When you are on his page, it has him listed as a sibling, only in a lighter form, not vivid like the others. That is so that it shows up correctly on his siblings pages.

Irene,

I don't find anything at all wrong with any of these memorials, except that you have gone outside Find A Grave guidelines and added genealogy data in a floral tribute. This is not acceptable to Find A Grave.

It is not necessary to type in the name of the parents or siblings, when they are linked. These records are backed up, several times a day. Not only does Find A Grave keep copies, so does Ancestry.com. There is no need to duplicate everyone's work. We have enough to do already.

Thank you for understanding. This has become a 24 hour per day job, instead a volunteer doing some part time contributions.

My kind regards,

Winnette

Rhoda Ray Wheeler
Greetings, Cousin! I just wanted to thank you for all of the great information you've entered here regarding the Wheeler family. Rhoda Ray and John Wheeler are my father's father's mother's mother's parents. So that makes them my 3X great-grandparents. I've been doing family tree research for almost 20 years, and it never ceases to amaze me how technology has begun to make the world smaller so that we can know more about our roots.

Warm Regards,
Julia Nelson

Irene was your aunt married to John Yancy Rudler (1904-1959)? He is buried in Orlando Florida. JY was my grandmothers father and I think her mother Dorothy was his first wife.
