It all started with Deep Branch Baptist in Lumberton, NC and Clover Hill Methodist in Lawndale, NC on my mom's side and Walnut Grove Baptist in Moravian Falls, NC on my dad's side. It was amazing to me that I was related to that many people buried in those cemeteries.|

You are welcome It was a honor to help you with your request
|Brian Curdy||Max Curdy and Ann Hinkson|
Thankyou for the corrections, documentation, and suggestions which I have applied. My paternal uncle, Max Agassiz Curdy passed away in Icard in 2008 and my first cousin Ann (Curdy) Hinkson passed away two weeks later. When I left the US Marines in 1980 I moved back to the "old country" (Switzerland) wher I Married and settled down. The Curdy name is a common one here. Although I corresponded with Ann and members of her congregation it was hard to get information and the funeral home informed me of "cremations". Thankyou for helping me get the memprial data straight. I dearly miss both Uncle Max and Cousin Ann - Sincerely, Brian Edouard Curdy. PS: Please let me know if I can be of further help to you in your research - and thankyou again for your generosity and devotion -Brian

Thank you so much for the photo.
I didn't think she had a stone. If and when you go back keep your eye out for other Jones and Lunsfords. When my health and the weather is better I hope to visit the grave. Heat felt thanks

|Serena DeHaven||James & Edna Sampson|
My email is DeHavenjays@aol.com if you would like to add any of Atelia Sampsons info. There is a great picture of James & Edna Sampson in the book "LUMBEE INDIANS DURING THE JIM CROW SOUTH" BY MALINDA MAYNOR LOWERY IN CH 3 .
|Serena DeHaven||James & Edna Sampson|
Hi Melanie. Thank you for your hard work & efforts. I have some information to add to the Children of James & Edna Sampson. They had a daughter named Atelia Sampson as well, She is my Great Grandmother & is still living at the age of 99 soon to celebrate her 100th birthday in September. If you would like anymore information concerning additional family members feel free to contact me. Reading thru your post for the ancestors of James & Edna it seems you & I share the same Great Grandparents several generations back. I am so excited and thankful to have stumbled across your work.
|Jere Oxendine||Lena Hunt Oxendine|
Lena Hunt Oxendine was my Grandmother and Sherwood Oxendine was my Grandfather. They had two kids , Danford Oxendine(my Father) and Mozener Oxendine(my Aunt). I was wondering if you had any information about Sherwood Oxendine. From what I hear ,my Grandfather left North Carolina headed for New York , and was never heard from again. My father was trying to locate my grandfther with no success. If you have any info on whether or not he made it to NY, death records , pics of Lena and or Sherwood Oxendine etc would be greatly appreciated. I never saw pics of my grandmother/grandfather , not sure if any exist.
