Many of my & other family members photos I uploaded to Find A Grave are cropping up in individuals family trees on Ancestry and other programs on the web. No mention of where or how they got them let alone who they belong to. |
DO NOT download & re- post any of my photos anywhere. Period. If you have done this then Remove them immediately. These photos do not belong to you.
Follow Find A Grave guidelines prior to requesting memorial transfers. NO EXCEPTIONS
I had one person who in late 2014 who within a month's time send me over 650 SAC's. This wannabe FAG cop went through my entire file looking for any and every thing they THOUGHT might be wrong including names engraved on markers. They fired off SAC's as fast as they possible could with no knowledge whatsoever of these people. In the end & after several days with many research hours there were only a handful of meaningfully edits
Find A Grave offered little to no help. Still today they condone people sending these SACS. Anyone with malice could simply destroy thousands of memorials in a short period of time. Simply, if the contributor does not see the SAC or act on it quickly Find A Grave, now Ancestry, will force the edit reghardless even if wrong.
Don't come at me & start quoting the rules on how memorials are suppose to be. My work on this web site is exactly as i want it. I could care less what you think or want it to be!!
If you don't like what i have done here simply change the channel!.
On the other hand, for those decent contributors out there and yes there are still a few left, if you have info to add to the bios or family links then by all means let me know.
This project started out as a blessing for me by preserving memories of our loved ones.
And here we go again !

You can threaten all you want. If my memorial is deleted I will add it back with your messages on the memorial. I will also leave your message on my page for Ancestry to review. You have pretty well shown why you disabled your message page. Nothing else needs to be said

I WILL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES delete this memorial plain and simple.
Another contributor had the decency to send me a SAC with the obit instead of throwing the freaking rules in my face. You need to delete the duplicate
Find A Grave contributor Barbara Howard Pointer has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Vina Brantley.

This is a duplicate of # 160680648 which was created AFTER death.
It is against Find-A-Grave policy to create a Memorial for someone before death, unless it is for yourself. Please Merge or delete.
Yet another Find A Grave cop sez
Find A Grave contributor BH has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Virgil Abbott
I put in a request to remove Lewellyn from the middle name field because it was a previous married name. We're supposed to put those in the bio not in a name field.

You entered my Grandfather William C "Dub" Wyrick Jr #63704919. I have dug through the site guidelines and rules about requesting a transfer and cannot find the proper protocol. I would love to get him transfered to my care, but i also want to follow the proper protocol and find out how to Cite any source information I have. Im very new to this and in looking for some guidance from someone seasoned like yourself!

You have a duplicate of this one -- same date. Thought you might want to delete one of them.
|TheDotster||RE: J D McBee|
Shucks, I thought maybe I'd found him. Oh well. Back to the search. Thanks for your prompt reply.
|TheDotster||J D McBee|
Is it possible that the J D McBee for which you have no actual burial site is the same J D McBee that married Sarah Jane Brittle in Anderson County, Tennessee in 1920? You say that you know he was dead by 1937. Ms. Brittle remarried by 1940 to Henry Clayton Lumpkins. Perhaps McBee wasn't an infant after all. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Thank you for the transfers. I did not expect them but they are appreciated.

Hi, have you had any trouble getting Find A Grave fix errors? I don't know how to get them to delete two memorials. The contributor is inactive- and I have sent three requests for them to be removed.. Still on here... These are my family and I know they are wrong- one actually has a correct memorial! Really wish things could get fixed like before...

I love how you worded your bio. If you know anything of the Heath family in the Abraham Cox Cemetery in Union Co., TN, please contact me. Tim Heath, Find A Grave #47409263. Thank you sir.
|Carolyn Johnson||James Madison "Matt" Honeycutt|
If you could redo James Matthew Honeycutt to James Madison "Matt" Honeycutt I would appreciate it. But the parents you have are not right. His mother was Elizabeth Honeycutt 1809-1897. Still don't know who his father was. Thank you for everything you do to help researcher.
