|John Gwin||We're cousins.|
My research has led me to the discovery that you and I are 5th cousins through the Walkers. Thank you for posting some of your family to FindaGrave.com. I use Find A Grave.com, too, but most of my work is on my own website located at gwingenealogy.net. Here is the URL to the page that shows your families' and my families' relationships. Please take a look at it, as you are now part "owner" of it. Any revisions or additions you have to offer to my very incomplete work will be greatly appreciated! Here's the URL:
Best to you, Cousin,
Hi, I believe we might be related, my Carver lines exist in both Tennessee and Western North Carolina where I live.

Thanks for the permission. Honestly, that's what I thought too ... that the purpose of posting photos, etc. was to preserve the stones in photos and to help others with their family genealogy; however, you would be surprised how many people have actually told me flat out NO that I could not use their photos. I've even had the experience where someone has demanded I remove a photo of a relative's grave because the person wanted to remember the relative in life and not death and because it wasthat person's photo I had to remove it. I did find someone else who was willingn to go out and take a photo of the same grave so I could use that photo. It's such a shame.
I have started going to antique stores to purchase old photos when they have writing on the back. I then use my Ancestry membership to attempt to locate family members who are working on that line and might want the photo back. I will continue to do this even though I was recently accused of being a gold digger. I told this person I did not want any money for the photo ... I wasn't asking for the cost of the photo or even the cost to ship it to them ... I am just someone who has experienced family members who have actually thrown out old family photos and documents which just broke my heart. Needlesstosay ... I have found someone else in that family line who was interested in the family photo and was more than willing to have it back FOR NO COST TO THEM!!! Sheesh ... LOL ... people never cease to amaze me LOL.
Again ... thank you so much for the permission ... I truly appreciate it.

Hello. We wanted to say thank you for the photos of the grave stones of the Best and Tulloch family located in Williamson Chapel Cemetery which you posted on Findagrave.com.
As for your photos ... may we have permission to post them (and any other of your photos of our ancestors' and/or their graves that you may have posted or will post in the future) on our Ancestry.com file. We post a message under the photo (see the text below for the content of the post). We have no interest in publishing any books or using the photos in any way other than for genealogical purposes. We have several things we post under the photos depending on the "owner" of the photo's desires. We have two below ... if you will allow us to post your grave photos on our Ancestry file then we'll place the statement of your choice. The second one has a _____ in it and that's where we would place your e-mail address so people can contact you directly for permission.
NOTE: This photo was obtained from a Findagrave.comphoto volunteer and the volunteer has kindly given me permission to post this on my Ancestry.com file. You must take the steps to contact the owner of the photo for permission to use this photo for your personal use ... permission is NOT granted by me for any use as it is not mine to give.

Again, thank you so much for your kindness ... Find A Grave volunteers are wonderful people :-)

I see you have the last name Carver. I don't know if you study your family's history, but I have a friend from Nelson CO, VA, who lives in Albemarle CO, Va, who has a parent who was a Carver there...and her roots have been there for many generations. I have a number of notes on the name.

Please link my grandfather, Jefferson Davis Kinser, to his father, Francis Marion Kinser at 42066351
If you are not a relative of this man (there are only 3 living grandchildren of this man), is it possible that I might manage this site, as I do my other grandparents?

daughter of Fred Davis Kinser and Annie Elizabeth Watkins and granddaughter of Jefferson Davis Kinser and Rebecca Kittrell Kinser.
