Bio and Links
Bio Photo My father was born and raised in Rockingham County, Virginia -- as were many generations of his ancestors. My passion to discover his roots has led to digging deeply into old dusty records to bring my ancestors to life and put flesh on their bones. . . . to know more than just names and dates, but to know them and their challenges. I have authored two books of stories, photos and genealogy of my father's family. My family names include Hensley, Maiden, Meadows, Gardner, Smith, Baugher, Eppard, Moyer, Berry, Broyles, Yager, Clore, Cave, Sampson, Keyser and Wyant.

Francis Meadows
Thank you for that info. While I incorrectly accepted Mary Kesiah Bell, I had both both Josiah Francis and your Francis Sr as her spouse. I am searching the Davis family of WV that married within the Meadows, Tyree, and Collins family multiple times. I have traced the lineage to Susanna Meadows Davis. Is she, to your knowledge, a daughter of Francis and Mary Meadows?

Nellie Meadows
That why I didn't change the name but sent you as a "other" edit. Sorry, I thought I added it was just a possibility. She is extended family, we are looking into direct an esters- Josiah Francis Meadows and Mary Kesiah Bell (4th gggrandparents).

Let me ask if you don't mind- was Benjamin Sr a veteran of War if 1812 ?

Also re Ellen's father, James Meadows' gravesite. He is not listed on "find a grave" yet records for an application for a military headstone (with wrong death yr) show he is buried in "The Old Hansley(sic) Cemetery". Have any idea which of the 4 Hemsley cemeteries in town that be( it may be located miles to the East)?

Edna M. West
Hello Jan,

Can you tell me if you have any other information on Edna M. West? My Edna was born in 1906 Ohio County, Kentucky and lived in the Detroit, Michigan area in 1940. She was married to a Leon West and they had a daughter named Darlene A. West born 1928 in Ohio.
Can't find anything else on this family and would love to find someone who is related to them. Edna M. "Baird" West is my husband's Great Aunt.

Thank You, Linda Baird

Hi Jan! I'm not sure what you connection is to Rosemary Shomo, but she was my husband's grandmother. If you're willing, I would love to manage her memorial. Thank you for creating it! We have not been up to Harrisonburg since her son, Glen's funeral and did not make it to her grave at that time to take a picture of the headstone.

Thanks again!

RE: Thomas Mahlon Good
I realized it as soon as I hit "Send:!, but couldn't find a way to "un-do" it. So glad you noticed I was incorrect! Sherry
