Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy for the last fifteen years. The main names I am researching are Abernathy, Coley, Higgins, Howell, Knight, Ledford, Roach, Moss, Whitmore, and Williams.

My other hobby is photography. I take photos of everything from cemeteries to concerts.

If you see any of my photos that are very tiny (ie. the size of a postage stamp), please let me know. Several years ago, the Find A Grave website had a weird glitch that made dozens and dozens of my photos the size of a thumbnail pic. I did not upload these tiny pictures. If you will let me know, I can hopefully replace them with a normal size picture.

Please note that I don't have editorial control over memorials that are listed as famous. If changes or corrections need to be made, please contact the Find A Grave admins.

I have created a website dedicated to my family cemetery, the Old Macedonia Cemetery of Bartow County. You can find it by following the link below.

And please be aware that just because I have taken a cemetery photo, it does not mean that I operate the cemetery or have anything to do with the cemetery. I only took a photograph.

Any photos that were taken by me may be used on genealogy websites such as You have my permission. All I ask is that I am given photography credit.

I see you have 1860 for birth, headstone says 1850. I know it makes him over a hundred.
Did you want you keep the 1860 for birth?
Just was wondering. Let me know.

J C Masters
Are you researching John Calhoun Masters? If so, his parents are not William and Temperance Masters. There were 2 John Masters in the 1850 census (on the same page). He is listed as John C. Mastres (misspelled) and his parents are John and Edy Mastres (Masters). His daughter Margaret lists his parents on his death certificate as well. They are listed as John Masters and Edith Sawyers. There is copy of the death certificate in Ancestry so I did eyeball this!

The John Masters listed under William and Temperance Masters was 14 in 1850 which would put his birth year around 1836.

RE: Tennessee Mashburn
I had sent you an edit suggestion for the parents who are now currently listed, and my note was meant as an explanation for why the one which had been listed was not valid. I see that the link has now been changed to show the parents I suggested. Thank you.

You state in your bio that you are researching the Howell family. Robert H. Howell who you show buried in Spring Place, GA is my 4xgrandfather. I have some info to share if you are interested.

James Minor Quarles
Memorial # 8007335 You had originally created this memorial. Find A Grave is now maintaining it I assume because it has been classified as a Famous Person. The question that I have that I hope you will be able to answer for me is, there is not a headstone picture for James on the memorial. There is not a way to request one either. Do you know how this can be handled to get a picture of the headstone. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Nannie Stevenson and Frank Stephenson
Sorry I forgot to give you #54357721 for Nannie Stevenson and #54357720 for Frank Stephenson. I guess that since these numbers are in sequence, that they must be buried next to each other. Am I right? Thank you again.....JoAnne

Nannie Stevenson and Frank Stephenson
Hello, My name is JoAnne Stevenson Garrett and I believe that Frank Stephenson is my paternal grandfather and Nannie Stevenson is my paternal great grandmother. I was just wondering if these two people happen to be buried next to or in close range of each other? I am still looking for information on my paternal great grandfather R. M. Stephenson (Stevenson)s death. Thank you for your help........JoAnne
