I live in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada and started my genealogy hobby in 2008. That lasted for less than a year, and then I started again in the winter of 2011. I'm not a professional, but monitor, and have volunteered to answer some easy questions and requests for Medicine Hat and area. I'm a member of the Genealogical Society of Medicine Hat, here in Canada.|
I am attempting to place all my family tree research on the computer.
I love to see the photos on FIND A GRAVE, this is why I like to help with this web site. I was happy to see my grandmother's biography that someone else had made up, thus I was hooked to add the rest of my family and help others with theirs. So it's not my fault that I've become obsessed with the family history. I have a need to connect the dots. I am happy to be a part of this great web site.
My grandparents would of had a field day with all the information that is at our fingertips today? Many thanks go out to all the volunteers through the various groups, like Find A Grave that give their time to help put the family puzzles together.
Names I am researching: Harnack/Harnock or Harnick, Bennett, Court, Henry, Housley, Winslow, Proudy, and . Shields

|Diana Henry Diedrich||Henry's|
Dean, Hou are you related to the Henry's?
My grandparents were Henrys from Allamakee Co.
Please email me, because I see you entered Alice Brady Henry's find a grave info.

I have linked his spouse. Would you like me to transfer this site to you?
|R & J Black||Henry - Lowden|
Dean, Thank you for the kind transfers. Since you had been to Iowa I hoped you were related to these Henry's. We are with you on the "obsessed with family history", and are working to place memorials of our family on Find A Grave. Good luck in your searches.

I will be glad to go and check this out --- in the spring. Right now everything here in Edmonton is covered with snow --- no finding grave markers now! Just send a reminder in spring.
|Kay Knobeloch||Suzannah Bennett, Oak Hill Cemetery|
I searched through Oak Hill's burial index and couldn't find a Suzannah Bennett. The earliest burials at Oak Hill (previously Rodefer Cemetery) didn't start until the 1870s, although some folks with earlier dates of death were later moved and reinterred at Oak Hill. Could she have been buried at Cedar Hill, perhaps? It is also located in Lebanon, Boone County, and was used prior to Oak Hill. Unfortunately, very, very few stones remain at Cedar Hill.
Do you have any more information about where she might have died (township)? There are a couple other "Oak Hill" cemeteries in neighboring counties that are older than the one in Lebanon.

Hi Dean, I have added some photo requests at this cemetery in Irvine. It would be great if you can do them. If not, I may try and come up next spring. It is probably snowing there or going to soon so I understand if you can't.

Hello Dean: I've dug deeper and figured out how to properly submit these "Photo Requests". Regards, Greg.
|Greg Matthews||Hillside Cemetery Blossoms|
Hello Dean: I'm based in Vancouver and am hoping that you could photograph two Gravestones in Medicine Hat's Hillside Cemetery for me? One is for Norman Blossom (Section CE, Block 164A, Lot 4) and the other is for Mary Ada Blossom (Section CE, Block 156B, Lot 16). Norman was my Grandfather (directly descended from the Deacon Thomas Blossom that came over on the second Mayflower in 1629) and Ada was his mother. Fingers Crossed, Greg.
Just added a photo for a William Eltzroth buried in Oak Grove OH but you will want to verify. Name you posted does not have a 't' but dates are so very close. Also check/verify the name for his spouse. Again, dates match but not name. Hope some of this helped! -Cathy

I just added photos for Andrew and Elizabeth Paisley at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Modesto. James Paisley is also buried there. Not sure whether he's a relative, but I did add a photo for him as well.
