I would rather transfer memorials than do edit corrections, although edit corrections are okay and I am willing to process them.
The only memorials I won't transfer are my relatives.

RE: Belle Wygant and Verne Day
Ann, I've learned more about the Chicago Board of Trade Battery online, including pictures.
I understand not wanting to drive in a city; I used to drive in DC but not any more! Thank you for your quick reply. Ellen

Belle Wygant and Verne Day
Thank you for the work you've done at Rosehill Cemetery. I noticed you had added a picture of the Chicago Board of Trade Battery monument. I just posted a memorial for Thomas Wygant Jr. (one of my second great granduncles), who enlisted with Battery and died during the Civil War. His memorial number 175379214.
Is it possible for you to take a picture of whatever there is for Thomas' memorial, whether it is a name on a plaque or a separate head stone? My second question are you related to Verne Day? Thomas' older brother Bernard Wygant married Apphia B. Frost; their daughter Belle married Verne Day.
Thanks again. Ellen

Check out the Catalano's I added today and also Fantozzi...this was the backside of same's strange??/...Angelo and Angela have same death date...Angela no inscription/typo??...there is another Mariannina on the Fantozzi side... Frank on Mount Calvary list buried here but birthdate different than the small stone that was there also...if you can figure who's who on your tree maybe you can correct??

RE: Catalano
That "hole" in the grass is where Maria is and Charles is the grassy area next to her with no stone...I usually take a photo of the area, then I can check plot # of the surrounding headstones to verify when there isn't a stone...this way you know the volunteer has searched and the request doesn't stay open forever..hope that helps?

Hi...pretty sure there isn't a marker for him...I think he is in the grassy area next to Maria...her stone is sunk so low that you can only see a few letters but I added it anyways...Carol

RE: Duplicates
Hi Ann. The transcribing function is supposed to check the entire system before adding a duplicate, so I'm not sure what went wrong. Thanks for removing them. I've only used the transcribing function for stones that were difficult to read. Happy New Year!

Hi Ann,

I'd like to bring to your attention two duplicate memorials that you've made for 160212085 (Anna Kramarczyk) and 160212084 (Ignatius Kramarczyk). Another member already made their memorials well in advance of yours. Please consider removing these.

Thank you and happy new year.

I visited the
Goldsmith lot site, but there are no markers there. I will post a photo of the lot.

David and Sarah Lally
Dear Ms. Day: When you took the picture of David Lally's stone in Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago, did you happen to take one for Sarah too? I can see the edge of her stone but need a DOD. Many thanks. Natalie J. Woodall, PhD
