Bio and Links
Bio Photo Started looking for family roots and building a family tree. wow!, can this lead in all directions. Wales line mostly. but also Brown. and others connected to my wife and my family. If I have recorded a memorial of a person you are related to, and they are not part of my, or my wife's extended family, I will happily transfer management over to you, just ask! I do this to help others find their family and links. My pictures are free to use in your family research, Just ask! Will try my best to add additions, or corrections, info as I have time, especialy with large bio's, please use "edit" tab, Larry.
Remember, memorials that I have added, some of them are from other readings, or cemetery records, and I have not personally checked each memorial out for accuracy, and I have found errors when I take pictures of stones. So use the memorials that I have added to help find your ancestors, but remember there may be inaccuracies, especially with name spelling, dates, ages, or maybe they have a stone in two different cemetery's, or have been moved to a different cemetery. ( more common than you would think, especially with the older cemetery's and stones).
"Note": Cortland Rural Cemetery, (RFAC), abbreviation for: (from field research, must have been)" Removed From Another Cemetery", (no information as to original cemetery), and placed in Cortland Rural Cemetery after it opened, around 1854-1855. At least three earlier Grave yards in Cortland were removed to Cortland Rural Cemetery, in late 1860"s, including the Village Cemetery that was moved to make way for the Normal School, and was where the County Court House now stands. Also, Methodist Burial Grounds. These entries are from the Cortland Rural Cemetery records on file at; and research at; the Cortland Historical Society, and contain all the information that I have found so far. The only problem is, we may have earlier readings of other cemetery's that record these same burials before they were moved. So the hunt begins. This work is still ongoing.

transfer management
Hi Larry,

Could you please transfer management of Sybil Crane 84904659. She is my grandmother and I would like to create a memorial for her, as well as create some links to the family. Do you know if there's a picture of her grave stone available?

Thank you for your kind consideration,

Doug Rozell

RE: Mowry

I was looking at the Tinkers, and I was hoping that you could add some information into the memorials.

John Bathrick and Hannah Tinker are my Great great great grandparents.

Hannah Tinker #73578255 birth date 15 Jun 1801, and maiden name - Tompkins

John B Tinker #128008805 middle name is Barton.
His parents are John Bathrick Tinker #73578249, and Hannah Tinker #735778255.

Thanks again,

RE: Mowrys
Hi Larry,

Thank you! How did you get the pictures in so fast? I have never heard of Abby Ann or Seth. I couldn't tell from the picture, is their tombstone the same as their parents - just a different side?

I just realized that you have Tinker memorials too. I don't have time to really look at it now, but if I have any more information for you I will send it to you.

Also, you have my Aunt's memorial Lucy Owens Davis #121976592. Is it possible to get a picture of her tombstone?

If you live close, could you see if their are any other Owens in the cemetery? Maybe John (my Uncle), Sarah Blanche(Grandmother), and Paul(Grandfather). I think that they are in the same cemetery. I would love to start memorials for my Grandparents, if you could get the pictures.

Please let me know if you can do this.

Thanks again!

RE: Mowry
Hi Larry,

Thanks for getting back to me! Could you add a Birth date to Simon Mowry #73566594? It's 28 Sep 1800. Also for his wife Marcy, could you add her maiden name? It's Waterman. I have her Birthday as April 23rd. This is information that I received from my Uncle. I'm not sure where he got the date.

Also, could you add Simon Mowry, Jr. #118253259 as their son, and Lydia Wilkinson Mowry #73566729 as their daughter?

I would love to see pictures of their tombstones if you are able to get to the cemetery.

Thanks for all your help!

Simon Mowry #73566794

Simon Mowry is my Great great great Grandfather. I am just double checking some information about his wife. I have that his wife's name is Marcy not Nancy #73566678.

I was reading your bio, and it sounds like you get your information from a variety of sources. Do you remember where you found the name Nancy?

I also have birth dates for both of them if you would like to put it into your memorials. Please let me know what you would like to do.
