We're not here by chance, but by God's choosing. His hand formed you and made you the person you are. He compares you to no one else... You are one of a kind. You lack nothing that HIS grace can't give you. He has allowed you to be here at this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this generation.

More on Joe Cowart's Website
Hi! When I Googled, here's what popped up:

Derrel David, Sr Pack 1 month ago

The site of expired 30 June 2014. It covered Henderson, Transylvania and Polk N. C. I hope someone can capture this site.
Web site wwwjoecowart is pending renewal or deletion. It expired 30 June 2014. It has a wealth of information developed over 50 years by Joe Cowart. He has tried to capture the families of Henderson, Transylvania and Polk counties of N. C. The site likely has over 150,000 names and dates input as families. This is the location of many of my ancestral kin and has been a major aid in my research. I would hope the church might take an interest in it and capture this site if available.
Derrel Pack, Sr.

Wonder if he went to meet the Lord?

RE: Angie Whitmire <-----

Above is another data base that has a lot of info from Tvl/Hvl Counties. It is not as complete as Joe Cowart's. All I know is the website was not renewed.

CHEERS Anyhow!

Brown Family
My cousin found this site and shared. I am so happy she did. This is more information than I have ever known about the Brown side of my family. My sister and I are thinking of trying to get a family get together planned and see who and what we can find. I just want to say Thank you for posting so much glorious information.

Back from Our Trip!
Hi! We got back late last night (just in time to catch the 1st bowling in Hvl). We had a smooth trip all the way, until we got to W Carolina where we had a flat tire at MM 130W on I40 on the camper! AAA came in about 15 minuts, and all was well! Today, we got 2 new tires and a new rim.

It is nice to get away, and see the awesome place on Hatteras Island! But it is just as nice to get back home! We were gone 2 weeks total. We went fishing about half of the days there, but there were no fish biting on that particular pier. We caught the most on one day (13 and 5 more next day). Got a 19" flounder! Except for Sting Rays and Sharks, that's all that was biting there. We were locked in there because it was the only pet-friendly pier, and Rocky & Jr. wanted to go, too! They had a wonderful time three times at the beach! We have made a lot of great memories! We were so busy, did not have time to even plug in my computer!

Hope you are doing well & enjoying your summer! Write soon! CHEERS!PATTYB&JR

Lamberts in Cherokee, NC
Lorraine, are you any kin to the Lamberts in Cherokee, NC? There's Crock Lambert, his brother Adam Lambert, their mother Golinda Lambert. All of them are dead now and buried in Birdtown Cemetery in Cherokee, NC

If you are, how are you kin?

RE: Mary Ann Bayless Brown
You are welcome - I wish we could find names for all the folks everywhere, especially there. It is a well kept burial ground with a ton of history.

I posted Daniels' Obit to his memorial. It's from June 1880. If you don't want it added, just let me know and I will remove it.

I seen your name on a post that you had left and I am trying to find some info on my grandfather, Wesley Joe B. Brown. I know he is buried in Ebenezer cemetery nest to my grandmother Clara Centers Brown. His father we Joseph Nicholas Brown and his father was William Isles Brown. The issue that I am having is actually finding anything on Wesley Brown my grandfather, and I also seen that you are kin to the Browns as well. If you could contact me through here or email me at I would greatly appreciate any information you could send, Thanks Angie Walker

RE: Birl Nelson
You're so welcome. I wondered why I couldn't find anything on him as his headstone is his nickname.
I always welcome corrections and its always a pleasure hearing from you. Keep up the detective work.
