Wrong birthdate
Hello Glenda,

First, I want to say THANK YOU for what you're doing!! Because of volunteers like yourself I've been able to watch my family tree grow. Something that is very exciting for someone who never got the chance to meet much of my family.

I did notice two mistakes on my grandmother's memorial. Her grave memorial is # 66621036 and her name is listed as Joanne Marie Fielding Faust. Her birth year is wrong, it should be 1937 not 1927. And her maiden name is Johnson not Fielding (Fielding is her dad's first name :) ).

Thank you again for everything that you have done and do!!

Gwendolyn Werner
Find a grave number 73278687 Gwendolyn Guadonna Schimming Werner. You have her mother's maiden name listed as Lietz. However, this is incorrect. The Schimmings are not Gwen's biological family and she was never officially adopted as a Schimming. Gwen's mother was Eula Blanch Fields and Her father was Claude Arthur Lindsey. Gwen, along with her 4 siblings were given up for adoption in 1932. Due to the depression, they could no longer afford to care for their children.

Hi Glenda

Can you or any other members tell me how you were able to link Aaron to the Bracey family in Camden NJ?

RE: Re: Grobe
Glenda
The previous email I did from memory - which I should have not done!
I did some more checking - in my files and not my memory - and the two brothers were Henry and August Edwin Grobe. They were living in Franklin County in 1880; Henry had married Abigail Herron in Bates County in 1878. The three left for California and settled in or around Yuba City, California. When August died in 1946 in Butte County, Death certificate states he was single.
Henry and Abbie had a son Franklin August, born 9-24-1891 in California; he died 12-3-1954 in Butte County (Find A Grave Memorial # 64309650) California.

RE: Re: Grobe
Glenda

I have done a lot of checking on Frank Grobe that you found on 1910 census of California. However, the Frank Grobe that is related to me was living in Yuba City, California with his brother, Henry. Also I have his death certificate and, as I found throughout the census, my Frank Grobe never married. He was born in 1867 in Missouri. While Grob/Grobe is not very common in the United States, I have been told that it is the Smith or Jones of Germany.
Thank you for the information and I will file it in my folder "Unrelated Grob/Grobe's". You never know.
