Bio and Links
Bio Photo My passion for (and my frustration with) genealogy research compels me to share information with others whenever possible, with hope that one day, I too, may be able to break through those proverbial brick walls.

I grant you free NON-COMMERCIAL use of any gravestone or personal images I post.

Any obituary images I post will have the newspaper name & publish date, if known -- just click on the image to reveal the source.

I am happy to transfer ownership of memorials I have created. Ask, and I will be happy to oblige, unless of course, the memorial is my family member also.

I am not as strict as the findagrave guidelines regarding transfers. I am pleased to "send people" to the care of others who have some kind of personal connection, whereas I do not.

Be sure to include your findagrave member number in order for transfer to take place.

If you email me directly, PLEASE include "FINDAGRAVE" in subject line, so I don't delete, thinking it is spam email.

RE: John Jorgensen
Thank you very much I will do so. As you can see I was able to add pictures and family members to his and all of the family members for this side of the family. I am just so happy that other people out there care about people who are thought to have been forgotten. I remember going to Iowa as a small child but I have not been able to return so coming across someone who cared enough to post this is simply amazing.

I am not sure if I had the right email but I was able to authenticate my email and I have started working on building what you have started for my Great Grandfather 27856860 John N Jorgensen.
I have added his wife and some of his children. I really would like to thank you for adding him and that I am able to reunite his family so they can all be together again.

Hi Wee, Have you finished packing yet?? I put the pics of Arthur Ritz and Royal A. Ritz on Find A Grave... I must have done it while I was still in SF. What a whirlwind trip that was!!

RE: Catherine McCarthy nee Deneahy
I've had more or less the same thing happen... getting the wrong will or death cert. You are such a good person to make her a memorial! The Catherine McCarthy I was searching for is on my father's side of the family and I would have really been shocked if we were "double related"!!

RE: Solomon & Elizabeth Ritz
You are going to SF??!! Geez! You are so right, wish I had let you know! Wait until I put the Ritz people on Find A Grave :-) You know... it was like a treasure hunt finding these people.. so much fun. If I had the $ I would meet you there - I told the husband I was ready to go back. Oh, the drive, wow!! You are right, sooo boring but we went the "long" way around - eastern part of CA and visited Bodie (the ghost town) and then drove the Sonora pass... if you need anything to excite you during the drive you should go that route!! I was totally unaware of what that pass was but was happy I was driving because Bill would have been looking off into the distance and not watching the "road" - I use the term "road" loosely :-). What we should do is coordinate our next trip to SF... let's meet up!! I also met some Knight cousins for the first time and got to see my aunt and uncle who I hadn't seen since 1977. All in all, it was my ideal vacation and the only part I missed out on was you!! We'll do better next time.

RE: Solomon & Elizabeth Ritz
Oh, Wee... that's so wonderful and thank you so much for letting me know. I just returned from a round trip, Norfolk, VA to San Francisco and back with research along the way, my last bit of research that we had time for was in Dodge Co., WI. I wanted to stop in Ohio to get a pic of the Ritz gravestones but we ran out of time, hoping I would be able to get up there this summer. So, I did actually get some pics of Ritz headstones in Colma but haven't yet put them online. Will try and get it done this week and will let you know when that happens. Thanks again so very much Cuz!
