My passion for (and my frustration with) genealogy research compels me to share information with others whenever possible, with hope that one day, I too, may be able to break through those proverbial brick walls. |
I grant you free NON-COMMERCIAL use of any gravestone or personal images I post.
Any obituary images I post will have the newspaper name & publish date, if known -- just click on the image to reveal the source.
I am happy to transfer ownership of memorials I have created. Ask, and I will be happy to oblige, unless of course, the memorial is my family member also.
I am not as strict as the findagrave guidelines regarding transfers. I am pleased to "send people" to the care of others who have some kind of personal connection, whereas I do not.
Be sure to include your findagrave member number in order for transfer to take place.
If you email me directly, PLEASE include "FINDAGRAVE" in subject line, so I don't delete, thinking it is spam email.

I see on his Find A Grave site he has a picture of the headstone. Are you related to this person. I have a man buried with the name of John C. "Charlie" Andrews with the same dates as this man and in the same cemetery. Do you go to this cemetery at all? Please contact me. Berntline@gmail.com

Well, I don't know why people transfer without asking if you would want the memorial. It doesn't matter, I guess, but I didn't really need that one from the other person. But we will go with it. Thanks for YOUR flexibility. Some folks would get all up-in-arms over that.
I'll see what else I can add to it.

Yes, now what do I do with that memorial? Ha I don't know why it was transferred to me as I did not request that.
I was thinking maybe Find A Grave could delete it and leave yours. Why don't you leave yours for now and I will email Find A Grave.
Thanks for all your contributions!
I live in Iowa so we're trying to stay warm for the time being. Had to go out to an appt yesterday when it went fro 25 in our garage to -10 in two miles!!

Hi Wee, You're a love!! Thanks for checking! I agree with you re: the typo (lol... she made it several times). Perhaps she had a bad copy or her eyesight was getting to be as poor as mine. I'll change my info to reflect yours and the headstone. Hope your Thanksgiving was awesome! Irene
|Irene Smith-Rice||Loretta Ritts headstone|
Hi Wee, Just going through Findagrave looking for more Ritts/Ritz family members and ran across the headstone for Loretta and Lloyd Ritts. I looked at my records to check the death date of Loretta and found there was a 20 year difference. I have copied info from the Holt County Independent (Dec 1966, submitted by Doris Counts) that shows her information but the headstone shows she died about 20 years later. I'm assuming I have the right family so the headstone info is incorrect?? Hope you can set me straight. Irene Smith-Rice, Great granddaughter of Martin Luther Ritz
