We can all do more helping each other than we can working alone.|
Working my way through entries I manage in Collin, Wise County and Clay County, Texas. I gained management of a large group of them just recently so is a work in progress.
Earthman Resthaven Cemetery in Houston, Harris County, Texas is a "project" of sorts for me, I have added over 15,000 entries and pictures to this cemetery so far.
If additional information is offered, happy to update entries I manage. I like to connect entries to their spouse and parent's entries, makes it much easier to move around for everyone and adds value to the entry.
Primary lines: Hollis, Patterson, Maxwell, Davenport, Combest, Riggins, Hammonds, Peck, Dick. But am collecting data on all associated surnames.
I love pictures, it brings a little life to these "dead" names on paper we work on every day. smile....Concerning the pictures I post to the Findagrave website, we have to make them smaller to fit on the webpage which means you can't zoom in on the picture to pick up details. If this is case on one you need, write me, I'll try to find the original and send it to you.
I choose to follow Findagrave guidelines for transfer, which can be found on the Findagrave FAQ page, but in summary.
I transfer your ancestors or your descendants or your siblings unless they are my ancestors as well, but remember your grandfather's sister's nephew is not your ancestor....I accept they are part of your family, but let's keep it your ancestors, your siblings or your descendants.
For updates or connections, please the "Suggest a correction" feature on an entry for update or transfer, this gives me a shortcut to the entry as well as sending me the correction you wish made. Typically, I will get the update or connection done the same or next day unless I am out of town.
Please don't make duplicates of existing entries, it is confusing to us all, having said that if I have made a duplicate it was an accident, please advise me so I can get it fixed either by deletion or having findagrave merge the 2 entries to preserve flowers or connections.
Some findagravers insist on having multiple surnames in the surname field because of several marriages, please use the surname they died with as it makes a search for them nigh on to impossible otherwise.

Kevin Dewayne Patrick #6430890 and Delois Faye Patrick #6430888 are relatives of mine. I have information I would like to add to their memorials.
If not, I would begin by saying Kevin's mother is Delois and his father was Calvin Patrick #127004111. I'm going to leave you with this info, bit will also try and add it from Calvin's side of the memorial.

MR HOLLIS, HAVE YOU LOOKED AT MY REQUEST TO ADD INFORMATION TO MY GRANDMOTHER MEMORIAL PAGE?
|Daniel Estefano||GW Holland|
I am have been working on my Holland ancestors for more years than I care to mention. George Washington Holland was my great uncle and I would like to continue editing this page. If you don't mind, I would like for you to transfer this memorial to me unless you are a closer relative.

Earl C Parker photo. This photo is on his memorial, and the same photo posted on his son's memorial. They have the same name, just different birth and death dates. Could you please remove it from this memorial? This is the correct memorial Find A Grave Memorial# 48487802, and you have posted there as well.
|MOLLY MURLENE CARTER||ALTON LOUIS COWART|
Mr. Cowart is buried in Earthmans Resthaven Cemetary. I previously notified you that no additional information about his life was never entered that I gave you. Alton was commonly known as "Bud". He had a twin sister, Alice Cowart Redman. They both were in the first graduating class of John H. Reagan High School in Houston, Texas. He won in his senior year the State of Texas penmanship award. His sister was also in the original drum and bugle corp at Reagan High School. Bud was well known in Houston as a Steam Maintenance Engineer and many companies called on him to repair their steam boilers. He was a beloved father and grandfather. He leaves behind his wife, Ethel, daughters, Sandra Kardatski and Molly Carter, granddaughter Susan Goodson and grandson Keith Carter, twin sister Alice Cowart Redman, niece Malinda Redman and nephew Reagan Redman. He was in the Construction Batallion of the Navy and was one of the many that built the air strip for General McArthur to land. He was there on that memorial landing.
I would appreciate your updating my fathers obituary. He deserved this and more. Thank you.
|Janis Babb||Mary F "Mollie" Harris Webb|
Are you positive her maiden name was Harris? I have a marriage to Franklin Webb and Mary F HAYNES in 1877. Of course it could be transcribed wrong. I'm hoping to get this settled in my mind. I am not a close relative, but they are in my tree. Thanks for your help.
