Bio and Links
Bio Photo Keeping the memory and information about our family members "alive" should be our goal.

Unless "we" make some major contribution in our lifetime, most of the information about us are known within our own family and after several generations the information fades and then it is gone!

Thanks to Find A Grave for allowing us to share this information with each other now, and for future generations to use in their genealogy research.

November 2001: Since this is Find-A-Grave and I am still alive, I wanted to leave a message for current and future readers about "my" grave location. I have just purchased space for my mortal remains in an older community mausoleum.

Old Mission Mausoleum was started in 1918 and completed in 1954 with the addition of the fourth and final unit. The construction resulted in a total expenditure of more than one million dollars. I have researched the history of this structure and its builder of 36 years. The information along with photos can be viewed at this link.

Eternity and Me!

September 2014: I find it hard to write something about myself, but since I am one of those persons who never made a major contribution to the world, I will leave a short review. I have been married to the same wonderful lady for 47 years. We have two great sons' Todd and Brett, and one fabulous grandson, Tyler. My working life was spent with the Wichita Public School system (1965-1996), first as a secondary science teacher and then as a secondary building administrator. My wife and I now spend our time traveling, taking care of our grandson, and just enjoying our leisure time. Good luck in your research with your family history, and again thank you to Find-A-Grave for allowing contributions to this enterprise.

May 2009: I have just received word from the United States Department of the Interior, that my application to have the Old Mission Mausoleum placed on the National Register of Historic Places has been approved!

RE: Jonathan 'The Elder' Stark
Thanks for your reply. I shared your note with my husband. YES! I did see the latest Finding Your Roots. That was quite a surprise for the three of them. You just never know where a cousin will turn up.

Good searching to you and yours.

Joseph Wollam (b. 1830-Ohio)
Are you descended or otherwise related to the Wollam family? We are having a difficult time discovering the parents of Joseph Wollam born abt 1830 in Ohio. He married Mary E. Repham (Reppham or Rephan)on 1 March 1854 in Columbiana Co, Ohio. They are enumerated on the 1860 Stark Co, Indiana Census with three children. On the 1870 Wayne Co, Ohio Census they were enumerated with the same three children and three additional children. One identifying difference was Joseph Wollam was enumerated as "John" Wollam on that 1870 census. By 1880 the family was enumerated in Ashland Co, Ohio with Joseph Wollam, his wife Mary E. [Rephan] Wollam, two sons and two daughters, and a mother-in-law, Mary Rephan (85 yrs old). Does this family show up in any of your research? We would like very much to find out the parents of Joseph 'John' Wollam born abt 1830 in Ohio. Since many of the Wollam family lived in and around the Columbiana Co, OH area, we feel certain we must have a connection. Please help!??!! Dave & Lois Ashworth

RE: Rocinda Kenmore's grave marker
You are welcome. Sorry the marker is missing but that old of marker is hard to find if they even put a marker on the grave.

RE:Sam Garst
Hi,

I went to photograph this request for you but there is another persons marker on the niche. The marker on niche 36151 is for a William Wollesen, which I then looked up on Forest Lawns website and they have him listed in niche 36306. No marker on the other niche for Sam Garst either.

I took a photo of the niche anyway and can email it to you if you like so you can see for yourself. So sorry I can't really fulfill this request for you.

I wonder if I may have permission to use your cemetery photo for my family website. Check it out at http://freienmuth-shortridge.com/ernst/buchheim-cemeteries.html. This is how I will be using the grave marker photos.

Thank you.

Earlene Kay Mark
Is there any more info about this person? I am looking for an infant daughter of Earle Raymond Mark and Ethelyn DeEtte Cowing, sister of Earle Raymond Mark Jr., all of whom were born in Kansas.
