Bio Photo If I have entered a memorial for a relative of yours it is because when I was at the cemetery I look for other 'interesting' headstones and something must have drawn me to your relative. I will gladly transfer ownership to you if you e-mail me thru find-a-grave or at and give me your membership number.

I welcome corrections and updates...please use the EDIT tab on the memorial rather than contacting me directly.

You have my permission to use any of my FaG photos for your personal use. You will need to use the images on FaG because I do not keep the original .jpg images after I post...too many pix and not enough terabytes of storage!

I particularly enjoy visiting the remote rural cemeteries. I make every effort to find who is the steward of the cemetery and attempt to get a map of the sections and lot locations. (usually the county clerk at the courthouse has the steward information). Most of these stewards are old and all share a common frustration that nobody wants to take over the responsibility from them when they are gone. They are delighted to learn that FaG has taken the interest to list and photograph graves in their cemeteries.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Bill, You found everyone! I hope the detour to Pleasant Ridge was enjoyable. Thank you so much for doing that and for going back to Eskridge for me again, too. ~Nancy

Thersey Jay
Thanks so much for checking on my ggg grandmother. I was hoping that she was included under the large "Jay" stone where her son Charles and daughters Sarah White and Kate Green are buried but know we know for sure she is not. I appreciate your efforts! Nancy

Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Admire, Lyon
Hi Bill,
I found a few more that are at Pleasant Ridge. I'll put in photo requests for them next week (I reached my limit!) But if you do happen to get down there these four are wanted in addition to the 4 I already have put requests in for:
Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Admire, Lyon :
Fred Swan Boline
Ferne May Simmons Boline
Derald Dean Boline
Leanna Ruth Boline Johnson

Have a great week,

RE: Jennie Smith---Ivan Smith
Thanks so much for Effie's grave photo, Bill! Ivan and his mother Jennie are thought to be at Pleasant Ridge, and I'm hoping Jennie's husband Walter might be too.

Coats, too
I meant to add the Coats family as well. All of these names are likely to be found in the Eskridge Cemetery too.

I saw you added the plot # for Jennie's sister Effie at Eskridge but no photo. Does that mean that she has no marker?

RE: Jennie Smith
Hi Bill,
Unfortunately, I don't have any more detailed location within the cemetery. I'm not sure markers were ever placed. In addition to Jennie and her son Ivan Smith (who is identified by Jennie's sister as definitely being there), Jennie's husband's burial place is unknown - he was Walter Smith. They are related to the Pollock, Green, and Bettis families. One of the photos at Peter Green's memorial shows a scattering of nearby stones that may have tipped or be covered with vegetation. I appreciate any news you can bring back. One of these years, I hope to get out to Kansas myself. ~Nancy

RE: Jennie Smith
Thanks Bill. Pleasant Hill seems pretty well photographed but in case you do go I've also put in requests for Jennie's parents, Milton and Minnie Coats. ~Nancy

Jennie Smith
Bill, Thank you for trying to find Jennie. I was able to see her obit and she's actually in Pleasant Ridge north of Admire. I'm working with the memorial manager to get the burial location fixed. ~Nancy
