I pursued old-fashioned genealogy in cemeteries, libraries, and courthouses for several decades and communicated with fellow genealogists by mail and telephone. Am now reveling in internet research, digital photography, and email. The latter make researching fifth cousins twice removed much more feasible, if not sensible.|
Find A Grave is a wonderful resource, and I decided to say thank you for the work of others by entering records from local cemeteries. Many thanks to Ione Sweers whose notebooks on the cemeteries of Anderson County and Dorothy Kipper Lickteig whose abstracts of newspapers in ANDERSON COUNTY EARLY GLEANINGS and ANDERSON COUNTY KANSAS CEMETERY BOOK make this easier.
If I have created a memorial for one of your close relatives and you wish me to add information or link them to parents or spouses, just let me know. If you request a transfer, please follow Find A Grave guidelines.
You are welcome to use my photos in your family genealogies, post them on Ancestry, etc.

Thank you for dropping a line. I linked Daisy to Christie and have requested photos for both of them. I see these requests have been accepted, so hoping to get some confirmation about dates soon. Hopefully this will assist you with your own records.
Beyond that, I did do a little research into Daisy and surrounding family. I have pasted notes into the bio section of her memorial and will probably try to construct a little bio for her from the notes after the photos come in.
Any other info is most welcome, and thanks for your contributions.

I noticed the mistake after I sent it. Thank you.

Sorry for the mix-up. I added her to the cemetery with the photo and linked her to her husband and deleted the photo from the incorrect one.

sorry - I saw anita and thought it was the anita that is working the cemetery. I've been transferring all memorials in that cemetery to them as they are from the area and know connections I do not. if you want to keep henry stallbories memorial, contact anita leiteig to delete the photo. if you don't want the memorial, you can transfer to her. or return to me and i'll do so. thought it was strange as I thought anita and pete would have encountered the 'cannot delete another's photos' issue in the past, but still lept to conclusion - one anita, two anita, you get it.
Anita's # if you want to transfer to her: 46928356
my # if you want to transfer back: 46979634
or you may keep it as you have Anderson county reference materials listed and I am not in the county.

I cannot delete photos submitted by others. i'll just transfer the memorial to you since it is st johns.

Good day Anita,
I have seen the apparent same tree, and have confirmed Orrin C. being listed on the 1850 NY census with a Fanny 59 yrs, (his mother?) and Lyman S. 10 yrs.
Oren was also married at this time to his 1st wife, but they were living with their own parents?
I've not tried to confirm the parents of Oren.

I was on your Find a Grave site for Steve Bockover. Alice Payne's date of birth was 6-7-1850. She was born in Oconto, Wisconsin. Her parents were Brigham and Julianne (Chapman) Payne.
I am related to her via her brother James A Payne. If you want any additional information on Alice, let me know.
