Bio and Links
Bio Photo I pursued old-fashioned genealogy in cemeteries, libraries, and courthouses for several decades and communicated with fellow genealogists by mail and telephone. Am now reveling in internet research, digital photography, and email. The latter make researching fifth cousins twice removed much more feasible, if not sensible.

Find A Grave is a wonderful resource, and I decided to say thank you for the work of others by entering records from local cemeteries. Many thanks to Ione Sweers whose notebooks on the cemeteries of Anderson County and Dorothy Kipper Lickteig whose abstracts of newspapers in ANDERSON COUNTY EARLY GLEANINGS and ANDERSON COUNTY KANSAS CEMETERY BOOK make this easier.

If I have created a memorial for one of your close relatives and you wish me to add information or link them to parents or spouses, just let me know. If you request a transfer, please follow Find A Grave guidelines.

You are welcome to use my photos in your family genealogies, post them on Ancestry, etc.

John William Guynn birthplace
Memorial # 79705849

I have corrected John's memorial page he was born in Mound City, Linn, Kansas, some of his siblings were born in Iowa, probably where the information was copied from.

Thanks for the heads up, always like the information I post to be as accurate as possible.

Thanks

Martin Ely
Anita,

The edit you sent on Martin Ely indicates that his second wife was unknown....I thought Annie Melson was the first wife and Emma Linn the second. Does this mean that he only had one wife?

RE: Harvey Collinns
Hi, thanks so much for adding to Harvey Collins family. I am a great-granddaughter of Eli Collins, Harvey's brother. I have been researching genealogy over 50 years and have lots of data. I have a long obituary of Harvey and am debating if I should add it to his site also. I think findagrave is a great way to preserve history! Louise

As I stated at the front of the Cemetery information. I got this from
http://www.mogenweb.org/monroe/mtprairiecem.htm
I would be glad to take this information down if it is proven incorrect.

Maiden Name Correction
Thank you for your photos and documentation!
Findagrave Memorial #76305724 for Augusta May Hawley
Correction: Her maiden name was Perry. (You have listed it as Thomas.)
Proof:
1. In the 1910 Federal Census for Union, Anderson, Kansas, May Hawley is listed on line 65 with her husband Eugene Hawley on line 64. Her mother, Esther W. Perry is listed on line 100 (the last line). Under her mother's name is written "*Mother-in-law of Eugene Hawley, line 64".
2. Her daughter Faye Opal (Hawley) Fulwider's California Death Certificate states that her father was "Hawley" and her mother was "Perry".
3. In the 1880 Federal Census for Lincoln, Anderson, Kansas she is listed as "May A. Perry" and is the daughter of David and Esther Perry. The 1885 Kansas State Census lists her in this family as "Gusta" Perry and the 1895 Kansas States Census lists her as "Aug" Perry. (Her father was David Perry and her mother was Esther Wiley Moore.)
THANK YOU!!
