My name is Marilyn Price Morris. I was born in Russellville, Arkansas and presently live in Blue Springs, Missouri. I am married to Walter Lewis Morris. We have two daughters, LaDonna Gorden and Stephanie Morris. |
I am currently collecting information to compile the J. D. & America Rook Smith history, BDR & Nancy Smith Shinn history, Frederick Smith and Lisia Alita Epps history, George Washington II & Ruby Elizabeth May Price history, Lavina Love history, Benjamin Nixon Rook history, Dempsey Griffin & Rebecca Brown history, and Daniel Levi and Laura L. Griffin May history plus other allied lines.
You have my permission to copy any information and/or photos without asking for my permission to use in your family history that I have added to my memorials. It is nice to receive credit though.

Marilyn, You have been spot on with your information and I LOVE seeing your name pop up during my research. And a great deal of the pictures I have seen YOU have posted. Thank you so much for your diligence in doing ancestry work and for your public shares of this information.
I am Nancy Dick and my line connects from me to Countz to Shoptaw and Shinn families in Pope, Arkansas. I joke that I'm related to most of Pope County Arkansas. The only people that I actually KNEW from there growing up were Gilbert and Florence Shoptaw Casey and corresponded with LeVan Shoptaw before he passed.

|Karen Bortner||Thank you!|
Hi, Marilyn, I want to thank you for time and research with the Wade family. I have been able to finally match part of a family that had been estranged.

The last time my dad saw Uncle Forest was at his brother's funeral (Herald) in 1969. So he wasn't a recluse, I doubt that HE changed the spelling.I will look through my Hip. stuff.

Many thanks. I would agree with the different spelling. Since he was in service,it could have been when he enlisted and that service may have changed it.
It would have been nice before my father and uncles passed away to see this. The last time I saw Forest was when my grandmother was in the hospital for the leg burns.We had came from California for my Grandfather Anderson's funeral.(Dec.1960)
Check out my bios on Forest's parents and sisters.I have even gone as posting statements made by my father about his great grandparents (1902).
His brothers (Leonard Sr. and Paul)are held by people I do not know,so there is no bio on them.Robert Glenn died in 1928,close appx. to the Riots in Tulsa,OK date, a bystander maybe.
Uncle Forest may have been married more than twice,not sure as there is no one to prove it or disprove. I now must get out my Hueppelsheuser pictures and post them through my friend with a scanner.

Julius,mother Bessie,sister Bessie are buried at Douglas-Union Cemetery in Garfield Co.,OK and it is Hueppelsheuser.
Great-Great Uncle Otto,his is spelled Heuppelsheuer. He is buried in Friedens Church Cemetery in Bein,Nemaha Co.,KS. His children's tombstones are spelled the same as his.
Go back to my great-great grandfather, Peter it was spelled Heuppelshauser,who is buried in Marysville Cemetery in Marysville,Marshall Co.,KS.
When my grandmother (Agnes)passed in 1979,my father nor my uncles had any idea that Uncle Forest was deceased until we found on the Internet his Social Security record in 1998.They knew he had lived in Ohio and Arkansas.
We have relatives throughout Canada. Roy's brother was in Missouri.His sisters were in Ohio.
Leonard Jr,Uncle Forest's nephew, committed suicide as his son did also(AZ and CO). They are on FindaGrave. I never expected to locate Uncle Forest with yet a different spelling.

Check the spelling of Uncle Forest's last name. I've seen the ue swapped around in Kansas.
Social Security has one r in Forest and el in Hueppelsheuser. My grandmother spelled it that way and so did my Great grandfather Julius (Forest's father).
The spelling as you have it,may be why no one in the Hueppelsheuser family could track Uncle Forest down in Arkansas.

Her marker states that she was born in Hackett, Arkansas. Thought you might want to know this and make at least a note. Have posted a photo of her grave marker.

|Nancy Cox-Misenheimer||RE: John T. son of Lavinia|
Thank you Marilyn for John and Lavinias history. I was curious about what happened to the child John T. since William H. and Margaret McCarty Woolcutt are also listed with a child born 1859 but they are calling him Jerry A. My great grandfather William Woolcut has a second 1882 marriage record with a Sarah Tyler in Searcy county Arkansas but great grandmother Margaret J. McCarty Woolcutt was still living in Martin township according to her Russellviille Courier newspaper 1907 obit. Now he was a character! Thank you!
