Thanks for the transfer and the reply. Yes, I've seen some head spinning things folks have done. One gentleman (I'm being too kind) refuses to remove my father from his tree even though I've given him all the verifiable facts. No amount of asking him will get him to fix his Ancestry tree and that means anyone who grabs his tree without checking just makes it worse. Ancestry itself says they can't make someone fix a tree. Sigh, I know what my dad would say- we'll keep it PG here! Have a fine weekend/holiday! Sarah

William Bradford
Based on my first reply below, you should consider correcting the name of William's 2nd wife in your text, the mother of William's son Joseph.

RE: William Bradford
Now I remember after finding which William Bradford you are referring to. The material I sent you was read directly from Bradford's actual handwritten will and inventory in his probate record at Plymouth. It was provided to prove that your date of death for Bradford, Feb. 20, 1703, is misstated. He died Feb. 20, 1703 in the old pre-1752 Julian calendar, but Feb. 20, 1704 in the modern post 1752 Gregorian calendar, latter the basis of Find A Grave's database. Thus, he correctly died on Feb. 20, 1704, not Feb. 20, 1703. This is also the basis of his gravestone inscription.

RE: William Bradford
Hello Ken,

It was late last night when I suggested, and don't recall this A.M. what it was. Nonetheless, it was undoubtedly spurred by material in Find A Grave 150438699.

RE: Corrections
Find A Grave has had a process in place for quite some time where they process edit corrections after 21 days. Now they have added to that by adding any bio corrections not made within 21 days. I know because Find A Grave just sent me a transfer request correction I sent via the edit tab; they were asking for more information. They including the following in their e-mail. Thus if you want to test it, don't do anything with your edits from me and see what happens :)

Please note that we have recently have implemented a new editing system which will automatically make the necessary edits or corrections that have been sent as a suggestion for a memorial after 21 days. All of the current suggestions for corrections have been made with in the 21 days. As soon as the 21 days have passed, the system will automatically make the corrections. If there are any edits or corrections to cemetery locations or biography please send them directly to and we will be happy to make the necessary changes.

RE: Corrections
Don't transfer the memorial to me. Find A Grave will make the corrections in limbo if you haven't approved them after a couple of weeks. The bio corrections are no hurry and can be done whenever it is again convenient for you.

RE: Freelove Finney Thompson
Also as an FYI
when a memorial is transferred, the corrections in limbo are lost

RE: Freelove Finney Thompson
There is no hurry at all. No need to transfer. I'm so sorry for your loss
