I was born in Hunt Co., Texas Near Money Cemetery near Tidwell Community, Hunt Co., Tx. Just north of Greenville, Tx. I lived in Hunt Co. till 1981 until I Married my wife. Then I moved to Leonard, Fannin Co., Tx. I am a retired truck driver and am working on my family tree of the Isham's, Stevens, Sanders. I like doing what I am doing taking photos of head stones and the such. If I can help one person find a long lost relative it will put a smile their faces it will be worth all the time and effort. |
I served two years in the U. S. Army of which 13 months 7 days and 15 hours 43 minutes was served in Quinhon, Vietnam with Company "A" 19th Combat Engineer Co. 35th Engineer Battalon, but who was counting.
I am a 100% disable Veteran, thankful for being alive.

|Sue Thompson Patterson||James Douglass Robertson|
FYI: Information from Application for Civil War Pension applicant Jeffersonia Robertson states James Douglass Robertson died November 12 1910. Her application was approved in 1913.
Find A Grave Memorial #28224587. Sorry I had to contact you by message. Find A Grave would not allow me to send a message until I checked the "I am not a robot" box. I could not get it to appear....only "What is this?" would show up.
Also, Rebecca Jeffersonia Smith was his only spouse. She spelled his middle name as Douglass.
Thanks so much and sorry for the imposition of contact.

Find A Grave Memorial # 30165317
Fayrene passed away yesterday. I would like to request a transfer. I am a cousin, not a direct descendant, but Fayrene is someone near and dear to me - we have been close many years.
FYI - she was also a dedicated historian and genealogist. For many years, she has maintained the the Kelsey Museum in the old Kelsey School House at her own expense. Lots of interests in common between her and me - never tired of her company.
The memorial marker you created the memorial from listed her name as Fayrene Hardman. Her husband died many years ago, and she has been known since about 1970 only as Fayrene Bonebrake. I went ahead and created a new memorial under the Bonebrake surname because many people only know her by that name.
Fayrene is a significant member of the Kelsey community, and until now probably the greatest living historian. I expect someone, perhaps myself, will write a substantial biographical profile about her for Find A Grave.
Thanks you for the transfer

Claude "Brother" Walker buried at Swan, Tx., Smith Co.
The Hopewell Cem. (1198 interned) that you show him to be buried at is an all white cemetery. There is a older black cemetery "Hopewell Community Cem" next to the Hopewell Cem. Also there is a "Hopewell Church Cem. on the same road about a mile away.
I found Claude Walker's sister " Roverline Walker Brown Find A Grave#46993146" buried at Evergreen Memorial Park Cem. in Tyler, Tx. This is mostly black.

Thank you VERY much for the transfer. Sherry is buried at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. We already got a photo of her gravestone.

I am requesting to use the photo of Mutt for her record on FamilySearch.org. Her ID number there is LJ2W-NXV in case you want to look at it. I've just begun adding information to her page and a photo would be a great asset. Thanks so much.

|June||RE: New Cemetery|
You have to be kidding!!!Lol...This is sooo funny.
I was more worried that it would be bee hives!! Who would have thunk??? Lol.
Did you go and talk to the man?? He probably laughed when you told him that people were wondering...lol... I would have.
Sorry about the inconvenience. Did notice that by the Fannin County map, there wasn't a cemetery in that area, but didn't know if anyone found it.
Thanks for your time..

|June||RE: Cemetery ..Maybe|
no guarantee that it is a cemetery, but sure does look like one.
Go north on the road east of the doctor's office, I think that is CR 1553. Drive all the way up to or almost to CR 4705. Look off to your left out in that field. A lot of trees, but keep looking. Looks like a lot of tall headstones, like the older ones.
The road up from that intersection is a private road and we didn't want to get on there. But we road around as much as possible and didn't find a way to it.
Hate to send you on a bummer ride, so I really do hope it is an old cemetery.
Let me know if you can find it.

Hey, we think we might have found a cemetery fairly close to Leonard, but we can't find the way to it. If you might be interested, I will tell you how we could see it...
