Bio and Links
Bio Photo Not too long ago I was passing time on the computer since its not Dallas Cowboy season right now & nothing on TV for me and for some reason I googled my father's name. I got nothing. I told my wife thats just not right. A good family man who lived on this earth for 76 years, had a full life and I get nothing. A long story short, I am not too good at this sort of thing but I set him up an account on FAG, wrote a short bio, and added a picture or two. That made me feel a little better but of course, we all still miss him.
All work is meant to be a memorial or tribute...if you find a photo of a family member that you do not want on FAG just let me know & it will be deleted. If you want to copy any photo you may do so as long as you give me credit.
I believe that its best if a family member manages an account so if you are related...just let me know...
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me...

RE: Nancy Braty
Ronnie-- you're the BEST volunteer because you went the extra distance. Also, I love what you wrote about your dad and how it inspired you to get involved with findagrave. I feel the same way-- I got involved after the death of my brother, and the memorial I created for him means a lot to me. This site is amazing, because it's done out of love. Not for money or prestige! I wish I could have you photograph all my wish list. :-)

RE: Nancy Beaty
Bless you, Ron, for all your hard work. But it seems this is not a duplicate. The Jasper County Nancy Blewett is Nancy Blewett Beaty's mother. The title name is wrong. It should read Nancy Adams Blewett. Tomorrow I will notify the volunteer to correct # 17764582. As for "our" Nancy Blewett Beatty, her burial place must remain a mystery. Was there no one left to see that she got a marker? It seems very strange, since her husband seems to have been a man of means. I'm grateful for your photograph AND your thoroughness. You must like mysteries like I do!

Hi! Thanks for the photo. Will you tell me what you found? Was there a monument for her?

RE: Michael David Fuller
Thanks for fixing it! I've been reading a lot about him recently and watching videos on

He was a very talented man with a sadly short life. It's good of you to post these (and to get his name right :o) ) to help maintain his legacy.

Please, could you correct the way his stage name I listed. It should be "Blaze Foley" -- NOT "Holey"

Re:Henry Luce
Thank you for looking, I'm not surprised there is not a tombstone. The "Luce" family I'm tracing do not have many tombstones to find...thanks!

RE: Mayes Family
Hi Ronnie,
You transferred 11 Mayes to me from Barton Cemetery in Hays County, Texas. Thank you so much and I'm working on them now!!

I married a Mayes in 1961. Three sons later , my husband died in 1990. His family was from Red River County, Texas. I figured if I had to deal with dead Mayes people, I might as well try and find all the past Mayes folks I could. I started in Red River County and Titus County near by. That trail sent me to Todd County Kentucky...that turned up tons of past relatives but it also introduced me to Genealogy message boards, There I met some live Mayes "cousins" that were researching Mayes as well. I've been researching with a lady from Florida named Bonnie for the past 14 years. Her Mayes was the brother to my husband's great grandfather. We joined forces and have had great results, We know know the father and mother and their 5 sons and all their children .

One of the bothers left Kentucky and went to Hays County , Texas...and most of the Mayes folks buried in Barton Cemetery. That's how we

One brother went to Red River County, Texas and had 5 children . That took me to Smith Rosalie Cemetery and Cuthand Cemetery and to Titus county, Texasto Center Grove Cemetery and Green Hill Cemetery.adjoing .

Needless to say, I love Find a Grave!!

I just laid out a map for some Mayes researchers out there to follow.

Thanks for all yall do!!

RE: Mayes Family
Hi Ronnie,

Regarding Johnnie V Mayes. I'm sure that he's buried in Barton Cemetery , Hays County, Texas.

I visited that cemetery a few years back and got pictures of all my people and a few

It was an experience walking among the graves...because of my research, I felt as those I was among friends. I knew so much about them and their children.

While I was there, I visited the Library. That place is a treasure trove for a family reacher and they drew me maps of many Mayes homes in town.
So I took pictures of the Mayes homes as well. I visited with some Mayes ancestors and that was interesting for all of us.

Thanks for everything, Ronnie and I'll answer your other messages as well.

RE: Mayes Family
Hi Ronnie,
I am interesting in managing any of your Mayes people. I'm pretty sure that I'm researching many of them for my family tree.

How do you want me to handle I need to request transfers from you on each? Or can you handle this from your end? Just let me know what you want me to do.
