I have been climbing around|
on my Family Tree, swinging
on it's branches, and digging
at it's roots for over
30 years, (since 1975).
I have been widowed since 1991, retired in 2005.
I LOVE Find-A-Grave. It is a wonderful
asset to the genealogy world.
If I've created a record that someone
needs to correct, update or add
information, please let me know and
I'll be glad to add your information
for you;... or if the person is your
direct family member, and you would
like to have me transfer "ownership"
of that memorial page to you, please
let me know...If that person is not
related to me and they are directly
related to you; I will be glad to
transfer their memorial to you.
However, I want to note:
Nearly all of the memorials that I
have created are connected to my
family tree and are a result of a
lot of years hard work and research.
To all the members who have been
kind enough to transfer "ownership"
of my family members to me....
I THANK YOU!
Find A Grave is one of my favorite
It has given me a place that I can
remember my loved ones and honor
If you have time, please leave a flower
for my dear husband, Roy E. Hughes.
I just lost my Daddy & Momma
within 3 weeks. Please be patient,
I am way behind in answering request.
PLEASE do not post death certificates
on my memorials.....Please,,,they are

I consider myself a newbie to the Find A Grave website and its admin functions. Thanks for increasing my understanding and for your immediate response and efforts. It's an inside day here in Kansas and our ice storm of winter storm Jupiter. Have a great day.

You are welcome and thank you for the compliment. I created a memorial for her daughter, Marjorie E. Do you want a transfer?--Storres
|Bo Cash||Matthew, Matthew, & Matthew Wilson|
I just linked Matthew Wilson I, Matthew Wilson II, and Matthew Wilson III together via edit. Because of the pending edit, F. A. G. would not allow me to go back and link their wives/mothers, at least not yet.
You probably know too that the older spelling of these three characters was most likely Mathew with one "T."
To clarify, Matthew III is buried at Haas Cem. in Newton, NC. His father Matthew II is most likely buried at Wilson-Robinson Cem. And Matthew I is supposed to be buried at Wilson-Robinson Cem. as well.
I have been to both cemeteries several times and seems there may not be a headstone for Matthew II at Wilson-Robinson. Matthew I and his wife Charity have a "memorial monument" at Wilson-Robinson and assumed buried there, but no one can tell me if they are indeed buried under that monument where it sits. They may be in the burial ground elsewhere, but lost to time.
These three Matthews (Mathews) represent my 3rd, 4th, and 5th Great-grandfathers and I would like to ask for a transfer if you had no direct relation or objection.
Additionally, there is supposed to be a "slave cemetery" outside of the Wilson-Robinson Cem. I have prowled all through those woods and a bit in the field and cannot find evidence of un-marked or marked stones anywhere. Can you help?
Many thanks in advance, "Bo" Cash, Nebo NC

|Mary Bob McClain||11315697 Ophelia Clarissa Polk Hayes|
I recieved a message on Findagrave in reference to her date of death from Lucie Servole Myers.
Since you sent the edits to me I thought you might be able to verfiy her question.
Ophelia Clarissa POLK
There must be an error in the date of her death or the date of birth of her child.
Ophelia Clarissa POLK, wife of Dr. John B. HAYES, died 18 April 1854 in Columbia, Maury County, TN
Charles Campbell HAYES, son of Ophelia and John, was born on 5 August 1854.
Could someone verify these dates. It could be that Ophelia died in August 1854 and not April 1854!
Thank you for your help.
Lucie Servole Myers
|Betty J. Burdan||Joseph Freed's tombstone|
Thank you for adding the information. No, I'm not related either, but I know someone who is, who might be interested in owning the memorial. His name is Dave and you can reach him at Dave I've been helping Dave with his research as I live in the same little burg (Greshville, Berks Co., PA) where Joseph Freed and his wife lived. The Churchyard with Joseph's tombstone is only 4 miles from me. Dave would be a good contact for anyone researching the Berks County Freeds.

|Betty J. Burdan||Memorial# 20287295 Joseph Freed|
Neil Scheidt has posted a very beautifully clear image of Joseph Freed's headstone on your submission Memorial# 20287295 for Joseph Freed. I've seen the headstone in person and, for all those Freed researchers out there, the complete death date is given as December 15, 1850 His age is given as 59 years 11 months and 18 days. I calculated a birth date for him as January 12, 1791. There is also a headstone reading done by a David Ehst circa. 1950, before the headstones were moved, that has the same information for the reading of the Joseph Freed headstone. Joseph is buried in the churchyard and his wife is buried at the Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown. She outlived him by 20 years and was Elzabeth Freed b. April 4, 1798 d. Feb. 28, 1870.
