Always good to run across one of you memorials. You have cleared up or solved more than a few family questions.

Appreciatively,

Mike

Alzina Swanson
Hi I have a question about Alzina Swanson whose mother was Lottie (Charlotte) and father was Andrew Swanson. I was wondering how you knew Alzina married a man named Moran and hwere you found it. Andrew was my 2nd great uncle and I've been looking for Alzina!! Any information would be helpful!! Thanks so much! Wini Caudell

RE: Ella Granberg Scott
It's very kind of you to answer so quickly but if this Ella Scott is buried next to a Wm. Scott, it is not likely that it is the Ella Scott I am looking for even though the birth year is close if not actually exact.
My search for Ella Granberg Scott is for one who is married to Arsamas "Same" Scott and I know of no one in the family that has ever mentioned any other husband.
What is so frustrating about this is that I have closely followed them in family records, the census etc but of course, after 1940 there is no available census records. Even though I have photographs of them that are as late as the late 40's, no one in the family has any recall of what happened to them late in life, even though they are always found earlier living within close distance of other Granberg family members.
Being childless is a real barrier.
This seems so solvable but has turned into a real "brick wall" for me.
Thanks again

Ella Granberg Scott
I believe the burial record at Parkview for the above named person may be the long lost aunt of my wife that I have had a terrible time trying to locate any relevant information-somewhat due to the common name.Ella and her husband "Same" Scott had no children.
But this person has the correct birth year and may have lived in that area late in life because her brother Edward Granberg lived in Silvis.
Can you tell me how to obtain more specific infor mation about this person's burial and any local sources that may be helpful about finding an obit?
Thanks

William A. Moffatt
Hi - have a document in my hand that William A. Moffatt was first buried at Moffatt's Cemetery, 3900 S.W. Adams Street, and was reburied at Springdale, by request of his wife (only named Mrs. W.A. Moffatt), when the Moffatt's Cemetery was closed. "She was present when the remains of her husband's mother and two of his brothers were taken out of the ground."

A casket containing the remains of one of the brothers was all metal, encased in glass. The glass was broken when the casket was raised, so they opened it (!) The casket was reburied at Fairview Lawn in Springdale, along with the other caskets dug up that day, ao the brothers should be buried near this William A. Moffatt, the mother, and his unnamed wife!

The Moffatt burial ground on S.W. Adams was HUGE and contained (at least) 45 Civil War soldiers.

RE: Thomas H Webb
Thanks for the offer, Dan, but I'm not that closely related (I'm just a dedicated genealogist filling in the gaps), so I'll pass on the offer and if I find anything more, I'll be sure to let you know.

Best wishes, Michelle
