I retired from the Army of 21 years and I love to study and visit Civil / Revolutionary War Battlefields and visit the generals grave sites who served during those periods. Thanks to Find a Grave I am able to plan my trips accordingly. As the National Chaplain for the Disabled American Veterans 1.2 million member organization, I like helping those who cannot visit their family members in person by taking pictures for them in the area in which I live. I post veteran memorials on Find a Grave to pay tribute to their service, a way of honoring them for the sacrifice made to this country. If you have more information to post to a memorial I have created, send it to me and I'll add it or I'll transfer the memorial page. Photos taken by me for Find a Grave may be considered public domain and you are most welcome to use them.|

Thank you for your generosity in transferring:
Lieut William Thompson Nuckolls # 26528754
to my care.
With your help, I have successfully connected him with his parents, and 10 of his 14 siblings.
As I receive more information, I will be adding it to Our shared memorial.
With sincerest appreciation,

I just realized that of the 2 photos wrong photos of the posted on the main Cemetery page for Abbeville Trinity Episcopal Church, one was apparently approved as the default cemetery picture and appears on the burial pages of EVERYONE'S memorial pages who are buried there. You may have to contact Find A Grave to get those photos removed.
Sorry to point this out, but I am very familiar with the Abbeville Church....

The photo you have posted on the cemetery page for the Trinity Episcopal Church in Abbeville, Abbeville County, SC is not of that church.
You have posted a pic of the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Columbia, SC.
You also have posted the same photo on the Memorial Page for # 85006351, where someone has also posted a correct picture of the Abbeville Church.
Thought you might want to delete these.

Mike, we have been in touch before: 30 July 2012.
My project about the temporary American GELA Cemetery in Sicily, where over 1,200 young American men and women had been buried between July 1943 and April 1947. These men and women were killed in Sicily.
I have put all information, like Roll of Honor, stories, pictures of the temporaray cemetery then and pictures of to-day's graves on DVD, which is now available.
The title for the DVD is "They stayed behind".

Michael, You added photos of this cemetery and probably noticed there was no sign in front. That has been corrected - I added a photo of the newly dedicated granite sign - the comments will explain the dedication.

Permission to use their photo in my family tree on ancestry?

I thought you might be interested in this man's book about his experiences in the CSA, War Stories and School-Day Incidents for the Children. It was one of several books I bought on cd. If interested I will email it to you or tell you where you can buy the cd.
