Find A grave, for me, is about honoring the persons we create memorials for. It should NOT just be a NUMBERS GAME.

PLEASE READ THE FAQ pages at Find A Grave I will no longer take action on requests sent to me any way other than using the edit button on memorials I have entered. I will be happy to honor requests done in this manner if they fall within the FAG guidelines.

My information came from the Montague County Cemetery Census. If you have any more or different info let me know.

Some of my find-a-grave family i.e. the Haney's have writing from Maudine Ellouise Atchley Bumpass. I was wondering if you know if there is a book or website where this information could be accessed? Thank you for any help you can give. Mary Ann Callison

RE: Tank Cemetery
I really have no idea how it got it's name. We only known the name because of it mentioned in death certificates. There is no pond nearby, but there is a creek.

Sorry, Rita, no relation. I probably was following the family when they went from Ohio to Missouri, and thought I might as well add the census images in case they might help other researchers.

#73391032 James H. Oakes
Hi Rita,
You sent me a request to add an obituary for this James Oakes. After I read the obit I realized it was not the obit for this James Oakes. This James Oakes was born to parents, James Madison Oakes and Malinda O. (Martin) Oakes and married Ida V. (Bond).
Your Mr. Oakes was born to T.W. and Pernicica Mertie Oakes and married Hazel Bessie Craig.
