My wife has caught the "FAG" bug. |
Retired from the military after serving over 26 years for my country. Moving onto a new path. Not sure what that path is yet, but.......
This site is now maintained by me and her.
Simply filling in the blank spaces of my confusing genealogy and helping others out as I can.

Reference your entry about John Robinson, Jr. in churchyard by Kilpatrick Road. I've lived in Sumter since '90, and have passed by the churchyard numerous times. Do you have any info on the church itself?

Am looking at Loring Cemetery in Sumter County, South Carolina. The photo you posted shows Mt. Zion on the first line, Lane on the second line.
How does the Loring name fit in?
The reason I'm asking is that I've found a Gus Jackson buried in both Loring and in Lane Cemetery. After looking at both cemeteries, I wondered if they were duplicate cemeteries. Loring has a map, Lane does not.
Tell me about the Loring name if you do not mind. And would you look at the map on Loring to see if that is where you were when you photographed, just as a double check?
Am trying to filter through some dup cemeteries and would really appreciate your input.

I am trying to learn what some letters mean that I noticed on the grave stone of a photo that you took. It is Find A Grave Memorial# 51317331 for Hannah Catherine Shults Jones(1st cousin 3x removed) There is a circle with ARMY inside with the letters TKCFNDOZBH surrounding the word ARMY. Do you have any idea what these letters mean? If you do not know, could you possibly point me in that direction?
Thank you so much for your time and I sincerely appreciate your dedication and time you put into helping others find their families. You and others like you are mirace workers.

Have I understood correctly that you're a descendant of Ann C. (Dietz) Wilson? Would like to compare notes; Ann's mother, I believe, is a sister of my great-grandfather.

I just found your message to me. I don't get out here as much as I used to. Please let me know what you would like to edit.
I am guessing you are also related to Abraham Noel? I'm hunting for his grave as well, he is my GGGGrandfather. His daughter Catharine my GGGrandmother, who I am also seeking to locate in Saint Michael's Cemetery.
I suspect they are in the very old front section, which I will return to continue the hunt after the winter passes. Fingers crossed for us both!

I don't have much more on John T Davis, his wife Elizabeth is the daughter of William Cornelius Watkins and Sarah Franklin. I am interested in which child you may descend from. Contact me again.
