Bio Photo I have been an avid genealogist for about 30 years plus I have a BA in American History from UWF. I love the new technology that we now have such as PCs & the WWW. Many of the cemetery photos that I am posting were taken many years ago so the color is not great.
I have loved cemeteries for many years, long before I knew what genealogy was. I feel such a sense of pleasure being able to put virtual flowers on family members virtual graves,
What a wonderful way to pay one's respect.

Hi, cousin. Thanks for your encouragement re: my photos. It's an enjoyable hobby though we didn't do near as much this year as in the past. Vicki

RE: Riis Photos
Indeed Elisabeth died at the age of 52. I checked the profile showing their wedding anniversary picture but I do not see the reference to a "50th Anniversary." It refers to their Silver Anniversary which traditionally is their 25th Anniversary. In the picture they are reading messages and letters sent to them marking their Silver 25th Wedding Anniversary. They sent out invitation to their Silver 25th Wedding Anniversary Party. A 50th Wedding Anniversary would be their Golden Anniversary. Was there another place on the profile were I wrote either 50th or Golden Anniversary?
Thank you

Glad to see the photo for him and that you are enjoying scanning thru the Baer/Bear/Bar, etc. Sure would have helped if they had adopted only one spelling! :) Harry's DOD has been added to the memorial now.

Sarah Danielson, b 1766
Timothy Danielson had two daughters with the name Sarah. The one who married Asa Lincoln was born 1790 and was the daughter of Timothy with second wife Eliza Sykes. The first Sarah, as you have indicated, was born 1766, daughter of Timothy Danielson with his first wife Beulah. The first Sarah apparently died young since no further mention is made of her in the records.

The second Sarah, who married Asa Lincoln, had her last child, Elizabeth Lincoln, in 1829. So obviously she could not be the Sarah who was born in 1766. The first Sarah, if still alive, would have been 62 years old in 1829.

I make mention of the first Sarah, b. 1766 in Timothy Danielson's memorial bio. I also mention daughter Martha, b. 1768, who apparently died young.

Memorial# 12544222 - Emily E. Campbell Mims
Hi L.L.

I was trying to read the photo of the grave marker for Emily E. Campbell Mims (Memorial# 12544222) and I think it is actually the grave marker for Fanny Campbell Mims (Memorial# 26610957).

I know it's been a long time (since 2005), but do you happen to have the correct photo?

Thanks for all of the hard work you do to make this possible for those of us that live on the other side of the country.

Hi L. L. Wish I could have gotten a better photo of the inscription, but it's the best I could do. Yes, I was aware of the earthquake in Charleston in 1881. It's still talked about or reminded about in the newspaper.

A AAA American at Find A Grave
RE: Walter Hatch
Dear Mrs.Laura L. Scott,

Thank you for your query. Inasmuch as being a polyglot a simple explanation in American english should suffice, I hope.

It was left on Mr. Mathew Hatch's memorial A.D. October 30th, 2013. As you saw it was the last prayer, token, flower left to date A.D. 05/17/2014.

Many of my kin arrived before and as well after him in the (New World). On this Continent we are t=kin direct to the first blood of English decent born, Harvey (A.D. 1584) in what is North Carolina now, then it was Roanoke Colony. Most know of the first female, Miss Virginia Dare and she has a County in NC too named Dare in it too. But alas I know of no Harvey/Harvie County in it. You may know Seal Team Six which performed well in thye Public Operation which got the target, GERONIMO. They trained at Harvey Point , NC. We have 3 Cem. in it but not allowed access as per the CIA ((Old OSS))operations and training. You may have read about the aforementioned Roanok Colony and lately the finding of more with Chief Powhatan and what he showed the settlers, which were actually sent to look for the people of Roanok Colony. EG: The Brass Mortar, musket barrels, English shiny Copper pieces as N. American First Nations did not have the ability to make it shine so well, different tools/implements etc..

History is the actual/factual not what a mere few what us all to think it is.

What by the way did /do you not understand on it?

Please add me as your friend. On Find a Grave now here too.
