Bio and Links
Bio Photo Greetings!

A Find-a-Graver since the site's origins as the hit for notable graves--not genealogy--I do "Famous" bios, and photograph/write about old gravestones, cemeteries, and the people interred within for the general reader. Will cheerfully answer queries, make corrections, add data to the "Family Links" section, and include other relevant info ASAP. Please no requests to insert multiple hyperlinks in the narrative part of the bio or to transfer pre-1900 burials. Find-a-Grave members can always include any grave listed on the website in an ancestral or other type of grouping by using the "Virtual Cemetery" feature. If you wish to quote me or use my photos, please contact me; attribution for written pieces is "by Nikita Barlow, for Findagrave", and for photographs, "Photo by Nikita Barlow". Thanks for your cooperation, and happy graving!

First Presbyterian
My main source of reference is The Founders and Builders of the Oranges, 1666-1896. The main families I am reseaching are Harrison and Williams' families so when you get an edit from me, it is referenced.

RE: Photo requests
Thanks Nikita. I don't know the name of the website, but I would like to see it. Capt. Thomas Williams was our Thomas' uncle. As a matter of fact, my daughter is joining the DAR under his name. We were at this churchyard in 1995 and found our Thomas's wife, but not him so the stone has been missing at least that long. We even found his parents there. I wanted to mention that I do have documentation for several of the edits I sent, but I'd have to get it out again to tell you which book. Thank you so much for your assistance.

Photo Requests
Nikita, I have 5 requests for First Presbyterian, but I suspect there probably are no headstones. There are 4 Williams & 1 Dodd. Do you think you could take a look at them & let me know? Thank you.

Clarence Derwent - Walter Max Marx
Hi Nikita, I'm still pursuing the relationship between Clarence and my late cousin Walter Marx. I last posted here in April 2014.

At any rate, I'm wondering if you'd consider adding to Derwents bio something like the following .... born London as Harold Stanley David Wolff to a family of diamond merchants .... I found his birthday registration indexed, now to get a certificate, if available.

Kind regards,

Transfer Management
Dear Friend,

Would you be so kind as to transfer the Management of John Reid #36662417 into my care?

John Reid ( Br. Philip Reid, TSA ) was a member of our religious community.

You certainly did a magnificent job in putting this monument together and for that I personally thank you.

This was transferred to me (of my family lines) and has been that way since 2011.

RE: Nathaniel Cundit #74179028
Ok, but when I searched for the name, and refined the search again, it did not come up, so the techies need to be aware of that too, and not just policy. No one is making duplicates just to do so (although there are plenty out there with differing memorials of the same person), and a big system like Find A Grave should work in a search, especially with dates, and does not always do so. Guess that has never happened to you.
And please note, that Nathaniel is also in old church records as Condict with his second wife.

So sorry, I got very confused, obviously! Yes, please do just go ahead and take down any errors that are also duplicated correctly elsewhere.
