Bio Photo Please feel free to use any pictures I've posted and I am HAPPY to transfer memorials!

Born/raised in Mer Rouge, Louisiana. Lived in Southern California for 30+ years.

Since I was little, I've been fascinated by the 1922 KKK cold case of kinsman, Filmore Watt Daniel/Thomas Fletcher Richard. Their deaths/aftermath helped prevent the growth of the KKK in the 20's.

I'm happy to share what KKK info I have with anyone.

From the Family History Club & private sources, I have:

1. "The Murders of Mer Rouge" by John Rogers of the St. Louis Dispatch (Pulitzer Prize winning investigative reporter)
2. "The 20th Century KKK in Morehouse Parish" by Dr. Alton Earl Ingram.
3. "The Black Hood of the KKK" - Prof. James M. Ruiz - Penn State - Harrisburg, PA.
4. The Family History Club has given me copies of the newspaper clippings collected by Tott Davenport.
5. Whiskey, Mischief and the Courthouse Gang by George Mallory Patton (Dec 2005)

I have been documenting the families of Sisson, Harp, Daniel(s), Yeldell, Evans, Cheshire, Arant, Sims, Manning, Whitehead, Humphrey(s), Laing, Rainwater & Bowe.

I have a copy of Thomas Young "T.Y." Harp's "My Kinfolk: An Account of the Harps, Masoners, Runyons, Whitlocks, Flinns, Greens and Roberts." I'll happily send copies to anyone who wants one.

I have worked my way through the war years (1942-1946) of the Morehouse Enterprise - I looked for articles regarding World War II veterans (any vet actually) and scanned any obit I found. Please let me know if I posted something in error. I will happily send you any obits or articles I have scanned.

I have now worked my way through 1921-1939 of the Morehouse Enterprise - Let me know of any errors I make. I believe I have close to 6,000 obits and articles. Will happily share.

I have scanned Albert Berton "Son" Sisson's (my dad) copy of Men & Women in World War II from Lincoln, Morehouse & Union Parishes (1946). This was published by Victory Publishing for the American Legion in 1946. The 4000+ names, pictures and military bios in the book were submitted by area families shortly after the war. I will happily save the book on a thumb drive and send it to you if you want a copy.

I am working with the Family History Club's publications, "Known Burials of Morehouse Parish" - Vol 1 & 2. I will happily transfer any of my FAG sites to family and friends of loved ones. You may use any pictures I've taken or posted.

I have started adding information to various FAG sites from Rebecca DeArmond-Huskey's "Bartholomew's Song" - many family histories are contained within it. I also believe that this book started Morehouse Parish people cleaning up the bayou. I highly recommend this book to you.

THANK YOU to Larry Freeman who has provided more than 3500 pictures for me to post. Larry! You are a jewel!!!!

Thomas M Wynn
I saw the photo of Thomas M Wynn you contributed to his memorial. I have put it on his FS page.
If you are related to him, you might be interested in another photo of him that I have contributed to FamilySearch, His ID #
Take a look at his information and let me know if I have any errors etc.
I would be happy to receive any additional info about this family as I am connected to them back in Georgia with his 2nd great grandfather Dr James A C Wynn. Dr Wynn's wife Mary Ann Settle was the sister of my 2nd great grandfather James M Settle.
Please pass on my contact info to any who are interested in the Wynn family.

Emmett R. Roirdan
Bonnie, I am certain that the memorial you have for "Emmett R. Roirdan" #170611131, listed at PineGrove Cemetery is same person as Robert E. Riordan #29414196. The "Roirdan" name is misspelled in the newspaper clipping. Please see memorial 29414196, I am not sure if name is Robert Emmett or Emmett Robert but grave marker has Robert E. Riordan. The clipping would be a great addition to memorial as well as Bio.
Thank you for all that you do!

Bonnie, sorry but I'm not related to Cheshire family so unfortunately have no info to offer. I can however offer you control of the memorial for later additions if you like. Let me know and I'll transfer. Kerry G.
