Delta High School, Men of WWII & Dr Joe Boyd Ada I was in the first graduating class of Delta High School in Mer Rouge. 1970. Did you go to Delta the same year or were you in the 7th grade or below? I have scanned the entire 1970 yearbook. Would you like a copy? It should have pictures of so many of the people you knew then. I hope you could use some of those pictures for your memorials.
ALSO: I have a copy of "The Men & Women in World War II from Morehouse Parish. There are several pages of pictures of the Black solders. I have scanned all these pages and would like to know if you want them. I plan to made individual pictures of each man. I'd love to see these pictures put on the memorials of those men.
ALSO & ALSO: Dr. Joe Boyd was my dad's doctor once dad was released from Valley Forge. I took a picture of Dr. Joe Boyd's headstone and posted on your memorial. I also took a picture of Jeannie's.

Hopeful Information Hi Mrs. Ada my name is Ashley from Louisiana and upon searching for my husbands family memeber i came across Mrs Lottie Mae Archie's Information. She was the grandmother of my husbands father Delmar Ray Lewis of San Diego that we have been searching for but recently found out he passed in 1999. My husband is saddened but would love to meet the rest of his family. He has pictures of himself in Gemmany with his father along with all his other informaton that he left when he was 3. I hope there is a way you may be able to help me find his additional family members so that he may be in contact with them or in the future can also meet them. I do have a few family members names but I have not been able to find contact info. Many thanks and God Bless
I am sending you all the memorials from Star Cemetery, and other cemeteries I have made memorials for in Louisiana! Wishing you the best,
Janet Milburn #47529757 PS. I know they mean a lot to you, being from that part of the country. It will take awhile for me to get them all transferred, but those have been my intentions since I started 6 months ago on this website, I want them to be in the hands of those who care about them as people not numbers.
Ada! Did you graduate from Delta High School Although I've lived in California for over 30 years, Mer Rouge is still home. I'm searching for pictures and bios of the Alford / Olive families. Especially, those who lived at Gallion around the turn of the century. Through Miss Fay Bowe and the Family History Club, I've received a goodly amount of information. I'm especially interested in those who are buried in the Cooper Lake Cemetery, especially, Edrie Otelia Olive who (according to gossip) was killed by a jealous lover. I don't yet have any good pictures to post. I plan to return to Mer Rouge this fall with a good scanner and get clearer pictures. Do you have any information on Ernest Alonzo "Son" Olive? My father, Son Sisson, had very high regard for Mr. Olive. I'm gratefull for anything you'd be willing to share. Bonnie Sisson Manning #47311181
