Thank you for the Bowie photos from Harvieston Cemetery, Gorebridge. I had very little knowledge of the whereabouts of these cousins and appreciate finding the valuable info on these photos.
If you have the time to update the relationships, Elizabeth (30666314), Isabella (30666388) and Thomas Young Bowie (30667339) are all siblings.
I am still looking for the burial of their parents Alexander Bowie (died 1929) and Margaret Baillie Anderson (died 1945) - they should be nearby.
Again, thank you for posting these photos.

A very quick message, I notice you have posted a photograph of Alexander, my interest is next year we are doing an exhibition about the Royal Navy and its effect on the local area and wondered if you have any info on Alexander you would be willing to share such as photographs or any info about him.
The exhibition will beheld next year at Paxton House which is close to Berwick where he was born.

You are very welcome Joyce.
Are you going to make memorials for the other folks on the same headstone ? If not, I can do them--but I thought if they were related to you, you might want to do the memorials. If so, let me know and I'll add the photo to the others as well.
I do indeed have roots in Scotland--my grandfather was born in Glasgow. I've done a lot of research through ScotlandsPeople--kind of expensive, but quite a wealth of information there. Thankyou for your offer, but I don't think there are further records to check.

Joyce, I live in Texas, USA, and was wondering if you might be aware of some of the BURNS family that lived there in the early 1800's; some of them went on to emigrate to America (in the mid 1860's I believe)after buring some of their family members in Midlothian, Scotland.
If it is not to much an imposition, there are a couple of people I hoped you might be able to find where/when they were buried. I am especially curious about Thomas White BURNS (born about 1810-possibly in Midlothian & died in 1851 in Midlothian, I think. Also, his wife Janet REID BURNS would probably also be buried there.
I am researching the WATLING-BURNS families of my soon to be granddaughter-in-law. I hope to help her grandmother complete (is that possible? LOL) a pedigree chart back to 1800 or earlier.
Thank you so much
