I am a retired librarian interested in history, genealogy and connecting families with their ancestors.
I enjoy taking photographs of the graves and try to decipher any epitaphs that are deteriorating on the gravestones so that they can be preserved for posterity.
I see Find a Grave as a wonderful research tool that helps families connect with the past, local history to be preserved and even migration patterns being mapped throughout the country -- and it's just plain fun to go graving!!

RE: Philip Touart #109821497
Hi Linda,

Thanks for your kind words. I love St. Michael's. There is so much history, I just can't help myself getting involved in the quest of looking for that one more piece of information that will help a relative put it all together.

I contacted Find A Grave about merging the 2 memorials.

Thanks for all you have done.

RE: Robert L. Janusik
I am Sandi Shares friend. When I get her set up to be a contributor, we will get you to transfer to her as this is her adopted father.

Thank you so much for adding the information for us.

Philip Touart #109821497
Hi Linda,

I was poking around St. Michael's the other day and realized that the memorial you had created for Philip Touart #109821497 was a duplicate of #13480820 that LL Scott had created in 2006. In looking closer at the photo you had taken, the date of death was 1909 rather than 1905.

Anyway, if you can find the pics you posted for Philip Touart, could you post them to #13480820?
If not, I can ask Find A Grave to merge the 2 memorials. I'll wait until I hear from you before contacting Find A Grave.

Thanks so much!!

Marques photos in St. Michael's
Hi Linda,

I've been doing a bit more digging in St. Michael's in Pensacola. You took some great photos for Raymond L Marques 97598819. If you can find the bottom 2 pics (the vault and the lot)
would you post them to :
Charlie Vallette 97598878
Ella Vallette 97598891
Joseph Marques 97598904
Amelia Flournoy Marques 97598922

From Miss Bruington's book they are all buried in the vault.

Thanks so much for all you do!!

Bobby "Bob" Dobberthien
I have been learning so much about the Dobberthien family thanks to you. I am Bobby Dobberthien's biological daughter, Kristin Kelso. I was lucky enough to meet Bobby shortly before his death in 2000. He was cremated and scattered in the Ocean near Dana Point in Southern Ca, so you won't find an actual grave stone for him. I will find some photos of him for his site. Again, I really appreciate all of the effort you have put into preserving the memory of all the Dobberthien family members. By the way, are we related?

Thanks Again,

We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one entombed there or no of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day.

I see the problem, I was spelling the last name ending in a "s" vs "z". Think the new article I had located re her death used the s.
