I am slowly adding to this site photos of grave markers at San Carlos Cemetery, the City of Monterey Cemetery and El Carmelo in Pacific grove. Please note that many grave markers (especially in El Carmelo in Pacific Grove) are worn, covered in moss/lichen, broken and/or overgrown with grass and weeds. I have not been able to clean these markers due to time constraints. If a photo of a marker is not readable...please request another and I or another Find A Graver will clean if possible. Feel free to copy photos for your own private use....but do not add to other websites, online family trees or other public sites without first requesting permission.|
If I have posted a photograph that you would like to replace....please post your's and then let me know and I'll delete mine. I have added many portraits taken off of markers, some of which are "not the greatest"....but better than none.
If you are a family member of any that I've created, please let me know and I can transfer them to your care (as long as they are not in my family) I am not a grave "collector" and am happy to transfer to family. But, I'm not a mind reader...you have to request a transfer. Go to edit...and write a note under 'other' edits. I only make these memorials as a service to the genealogical community.

Thank you so much for transferring our aunt to us. Bio info and family links have been added
It is because of people like you, who go out of your way to assist us, that we are able to link to our family members.

My fifth cousin married a Strouf so I only have about a dozen in my genealogy database.

Thanks for the transfer. As you probably noticed I am retired aerospace engineer myself. Anybody who likes to destroy things and figure out why sounds like a pretty first rate engineer to me; I did a little destructive testing myself, nothing more fun than blowing things up. I hope you have an easier time researching your people in Norway than I did, very difficult dealing with the constantly changing last names.

Sure, go right ahead.

I want to say thanks for all you do for others through your work with Find A Grave. It means so very much to those of us, who, because of age and health can no longer visit gravesites. I have been on my genealogy journey since the 1980's and am still working hard, trying to get as much history of family as I can on Ancestry and Family Tree Maker. I want my descendants and others connected to be able to see their heritage. I hope you won't mind my putting copies of your photos on my family files. It makes it so much more real to see pictures of people and tombstones. Thank you so much for caring for people enough to do what you do. I only wish I had been able to do as much. May God richly bless you for helping others in such a manner.

Hello! I hate to sound ungrateful, because I am THRILLED to have this photo! But is there any way you could post a pic with a bit higher resolution? When I zoom in on this, it is very blurry. Thank you for your consideration - believe me, I'll be happy with what I can get! :)
