Thanks for adding all the details on these folk - I didn't realize there were so many! It's much appreciated.

Do you have access to any sort of records for the Mission Garden of Memories Cemetery? If you do, I feel certain the parents of Luther are also buried there. Since he died in California, the only reason I can think of is that he was buried with his parents. They were Wiley Hampton Doughton, died in 1931, and Cornelia Belle (Norris) Doughton, died in 1929, both died at Clovis. Thanks Bev

I have some further information regarding his lineage, marriage and death, if you would like to add it to his memorial. Thank you.

Henry Drake

I have all the original correspondence from the government to my Grandparents on CPL Henry Drake.

This is some of the information that I have on Henry: He was captured by the Japanese during the occupation of the Philippines, when the 200th surrendered, and did the Bataan Death March.

Henry died in a POW camp - as I have the letter from the government, that was sent to my grandmother. Letter is dated 9 July 1943.
The casualty report in his case shows he died at a prisoner of war cap, Philippine Islands, as a result of dysentery. Signed by Major General J. A. ULIO
A second letter dated 19 July 1945 - saying that Henry died on 24 October 1942 from dysentery at Cabanatuan Camp. Signed by Major F.N Crandall.

Thanks You for provided the picture and all the information about the family.
