I volunteer at Oakwood Cemetery in Niagara Falls. I have some limited access to St. Mary's and Sacred Hearts Cemeteries, which are adjacent to Oakwood, although most of their records have been destroyed and the cemeteries are in ill repair.|
St. Joseph's, Holy Trinity and Gate of Heaven (Lewiston) are not far away and within my travel range for photo requests. I will only take photo requests that already have grave section/area info because these are HUGE cemeteries. Call the cemetery office, tell them you are from far away and ask they provide you with the info so you can send someone else to get the photo. Most places will do one or two requests for FREE. After more than a couple, however, be prepared to pay some sort of fee.
Riverdale and Accacia Park will NOT process requests for Find A Grave photographers and are particularly unfriendly about it. Call them and get the grave location and put it in your photo request. These cemeteries want to charge photographers if they go in and ask for help. For one or two requests, they MIGHT do it over the phone for YOU. Remember: your family BOUGHT plots there. They work for YOU.
Visit my Virtual Cemetery "Oakwood's River Folks" for folks who have died stunting at The Falls or in The Niagara River and then stop by and say hi to my recently departed best friend, Eilean "Ellie" Lyonhil Donan in the Virtual Cemetery, "Beloved Friends".

Thank you for the transfer.

That is a sad story about the cemetery. Thanks for the effort.

Thank you. No, I'm not at all sure that she's there with her husband, but Mary Jane Haight-Eckert shows her buried there and Mary Jane is usually pretty thorough. The Angevine Genealogy (1977) by Clyde Angevine doesn't say where she is buried; nor does the excerpt from Tompkins Genealogy (1942) by Robert & Clara Tompkins, which is excerpted there. I appreciate your effort.

I don't see how Charlotte and Charles Walker, Jr could have been married. He was 40 years younger than she was, and if he was born in 1921 he wouldn't have been old enough to marry anyone in 1933 when Charlotte died.
I can't figure out how to unlink them.
I had put the Porters in my genealogy program when I was working on them in findagrave, and deleted them all since then, so I don't have any notes left.
I'm sorry I can't help more with hard facts. She was single in 1900, and married Buck in Jan 1902.

I got your message about Charlotte Porter Buck, and I'm still double-checking about the marriage to Mr Walker. I will be in touch.

I do not know if he is a relative, but I will keep him on my list of questionable. He could be a brother of one of the Jankowski's.

Thanks for the Photo- if the Grave Location, i.e. Plot-Lot, Section all match -then it is correct photo. I searched on Ancestory.com, and found SS records with the 1976 date being correct. Might just be a mis-type on the stone. What ever you want to do- I'll leave in your hands. Thanks ROANHO
