RE: Jewell Gilley Smith
I think that is the date I have in my records. That is the date on her tombstone.

I saw your question to her. Her father was H.C. Davenport. He lived next door to my daddy, Haskell Smith in Centertown Estates. Daddy being a son of William Edward Smith and H.C. a son of Willie's sister, Della Smith Davenport. So yes she is descended from Coonie & Annie.

RE: Jewell Gilley Smith
You are correct. My Aunt Jewell (Gilley) Smith was born 4 June 1914. She died 11 May 2004 according to my records. I can't say I remember. With my head injury, I'm no good with dates. I do remember Uncle Brown (Hoyte Brown aka Brother Brownie aka Rev. H.B. Smith) died in 1999 after my daddy died in 1998. He tried to convince daddy that he, Uncle Brown, was gonna die first. It was too much for him to be the last of his siblings to go. He lasted less than a year as the only child of Willie & Maudie to be left. Jewell was married to Roy and I just can't remember when she died. I had to check my ancestry tree. PS,she really did not like for anyone to use her 1st given name. It was Flossie. And she did not like it!

Callie Orrick #100127041
Callie Orrick # 100127041 you put on Nov. 4, 2012, is the same as Callie Orrick put on Nov. 7, 2011. She was my great grandmother. God Bess

Cecil Orrick
Carl Orrick # 100379008 is a repeat, as Cecil Orrick # 48394993. He was my cousin and his name was Cecil. Someone else had it on before you, thought I would let you know. Have a great Day!

RE: Cantrell
You can go on the Genealogy.com , and post on the CANTRELL family and wait and see if you get a response...I use it a lot, since a lot of my own family line post there from time to time, as I do as well..

RE: Smith
I'm not going to say we're not related but I can't say we are either. I have had problems with researching the Smith side of my family so I don't know if the names match or not. If I come across anything, I will let you know.

Thank you for contacting me!

JR Akers
Hello Mrs. Dunn,
Please accept my apologies in taking sooo long in responding to your question. I haven't been on findagrave in about 2 years.
On Nov. 24th, 2012 you posted this statement on my profile page:
""J. R. Akers
Hi, J.T.:

I saw on the flower memorial you made for Lucy Ann Prudence Lance Akers buried in Center Town Cemetery, Warren Co. adding J.R. Akers was buried in Oak Grove Cemetery.

I think following through with all family members is one of the greatest honors we can give our ancestors. If I see the wife, I try to find her husband if he's not in the same cemetery and visa versa.

Thank you for adding where Mr. Akers was buried.

I am the granddaughter of Maudie Virginia Tittle Smith born to Samuel C. Tittle and Sarah A. Lance. Although Ma Smith's dad is buried with his 2nd wife, Tennessee Octava Smith in Hobart, Kiowa Co., OK, Sarah is buried in the Tittle Cemetery in Warren Co., TN with her mom-in-law, Nancy J. Goff and Samuel's dad, Lorenzo Dow Tittle, b. 1831 in Warren Co. Nancy J. Goff's dad was William Goff and her mom was Phoebe Walling. I do not know where the Wallings are buried.

I have had a hard time piecing together exactly who Sarah A. Lance's parents are. There are so many Lances. And in so many different cemeteries. I believe, simply by process of elimination in the census records, William Lance was Sarah's dad. I suspect James Silas Lance is an immediate family member. But the granddaddy of them all was James Jasper Lance in Ivy Bluff Cemetery, Cannon Co., TN. Would you have the time to respond and let me know if Sarah's dad was William? And perhaps where he is buried?

I'm sorry to say that I do not know if Sarah's Dad was William and I'm guessing you might have figured that out by now.
As far as your statement, "I do not knowing where the Wallings are buried", I know that all of the ones I'm related to are buried in Van Buren, Warren and White Counties. A good number of them are listed here on findagrave. Those Wallings are descendants of a man by the name of Elisha Walling, Walden or Wallen (his name is spelled that way in several places in history). He is the man who discovered the Cumberland Gap and for whom "Waldens (Wallings)Ridge" is named after out in East Tennessee as well as the City of Walden, TN.
He was a "Longhunter" along with people like Daniel and Squire Boone, James Robertson to name a few Pioneers.

Thanks,
-Josh
