Looks like he has 2 tombstones. See the note that I added to the memorial I created. This happens once in a awhile.

Her husband link should be okay now. Let me know if it isn't.

RE: Charlotte Tolley Kanode Kessinger

Sorry I meant to mention - when I brought up James Preston in the prior message that seperated these families as well as counties. That James Preston was born ~1852 according to 1860 census and that matches your original request. There is a James Preston tied to your second request but he wasn't born till 1883.

Best regards,

RE: Charlotte Tolley Kanode Kessinger

I think we're still looking for a 3rd set of them. The original set you wanted them tied to didn't have her listed in the census and the memorial number you sent me for this George 137048124 - he's not born til 1858 which is about 13 years after Charlotte is born. Your original George request and the George that I'm talking about were close in age but yours was in Montgomery and mine was in Giles Co, so I think we're talking about a 3rd one. Again according to 1860 census, my George was ~1821 and Margaret was ~1826. Charlotte is my 3G grandmother and is buried in my family cemetery with all 5 of my prior generations.

If you have an actual death certificate for Charlotte, yes I would love to have a copy of it. The only thing that I've seen was a one line registry entry that wasn't right - it has the entry date instead of the death date.....

Charlotte Tolley Kanode Kessinger

Thank you for submitting your change request for Tolley. I do have some concerns about the request though. The George and Margaret Kanode that you requested to tie her to are the couple from Montgomery county. If you look at the 1850 census for them - she's not there as well as in the 1860 census. I do see the James Preston but not our Tolley. Tolley is the daughter of George and Margaret Kanode but I believe it's the ones from Giles Co who have another daughter Luvena listed with Charlotte and their parents in the 1860 census. Silas and Charlotte met up in Giles Co where Silas had been married to a Anne Pool (we haven't found her burial spot yet).

If you disagree with my findings let me know.

Thanks again for your help!!

Best regards,
Keith Meadows

Annie Shutt Yoch
Hi Joyce,
I processed your edit for Annie, I have a note that says "buried next to George Yoch and Elsie Williams(Shutt) - can't find link" would you by any chance know the answer? I'm not related, just curious. Thanks!

RE: Parmelia Harper
You're welcome. I'm sorry I couldn't locate her. There are a lot of unmarked graves there.

RE: Thank You
My research on Ancestry today has made me pretty confident that one of the children listed on the Patrick's Find a Grave site is not in our immediate family. Possibly the picture of Patrick belongs to the family of Francis Edward Carroll. Such a disappointment! It's a great picture. The kind person who did the research to originally post the site has passed on so the error can't be easily corrected. Thank you again for your help.

RE: Thank You
Thank you for the information, Joyce, and for doing such a good job preserving family history. I have no pictures of Patrick and I was very happy to see this one. His children seemed to marry late and have very few children among them all. Bless the family that held on to this part of Carroll history. Will other pictures be attached to Find a Grave sites? Thank you again

Thank You
It was lovely of you to add a photo of Patrick Carroll (#66740619) to his Find a Grave site.
I have never seen one before. Could you tell me its history? It looks like it might be a memorial card given out at his funeral in 1905.
Thank you very much!
