"In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe."

Oliver Teakles, Memorial #71023458
Oliver is now in your care. I always sleep a little better when one of 'my' mariners finds his way home to family. These men were so brave and received so little recognition for their enormous part in World War II. Can you even imagine what it must have been like to know that the enemy was all around and under you, day and night, and could sink your ship at any given moment? And these men, these CIVILIANS, continued to sail, to 'deliver the goods' wherever they were needed. Oliver was a hero in every sense of the word.

Take care,

Patricia O.

Henry Mills
Thank you so very much for his obit. I'll have my mother-in -law read it. She will be 102 in November and knew all the Mills family from Newfoundland. She always told me about Willoughby, she said he was her first love and that he went away and she never saw him again. Nice to know about him, putting his story to his picture. I'll try and add the obit.

Regards,

Doris

Joseph Kennedy Again
I had already messaged the guy that put the Civil War banner on the memorial I had. I don't think 'our' Joseph Kennedy fought in the Civil War and I let him know that. Anyway, combine then delete the one I had.

Your distant Cousin :)

Ishmael & Rosina Crouse
Hi Sharon,
I'm leaving this message in regards to the postings you listed for Ishmael & Rosina Crouse. They were my great grandparents on my dad's side. Their son, Locke was my grandfather & had 5 sons, 3 of which are now deceased. Ronald,Loren(Buzzy),Truman(all 3 are now deceased), Lauris and my dad, Morris.I'm trying to find out more family info. I'm wondering if you or Rosemary, who help you with the info for Ishmael are somehow related?? I'm going to be adding info on my Uncles Ronald & Loren so they can be linked with the others. It was so awesome to see a pic of my great grandmother as none of us have a pic of her. Thanks so much!!! Best, Erica
