Re: Diama Sargent
I think using Diama is the right thing to do. That was what she was called, after all. BTW, try Googling Deidama and Deidiama -- apparently people are still using this name, esp in South America!

Diana Sargent
Thanks for that info -- now I get it! Her full name must have been Deidiama, which was very common in New England in the 1800s, with lots of different spellings. So the tombstone is right, and she WAS called "Diama". What do you think would be better for the memorial -- changing her first name to Deidiama with Diama as a nickname, or using Diama as her first name?

RE: Elizabeth Sargent
I have no clue where Elizabeth is buried. You have her a "Married Elizabeth "Lizzie" M. Burnes on 24 March 1878 in Mount Desert, Maine"

And my information was Anderson

Diama Sargent
Yes, her birthdate should be August 25, 1838. A transcript of town records which you can see at notes the following for the year 1877: "Mt. Desert, May 10, DIANA, wife of Giles H. SARGENT, age 38 years, 8 months, 15 days." Also, I think the first name on her tombstone is misspelled and it was actually Diana, not Diama, as that is how it is given in most records. (I am always amazed at how many errors there are on tombstones!) Thanks for all your work on Find-a-Grave; it is much appreciated!

Anna Alice Ronald Wartenbe
Just found her death certificate. She was 73 years old when she died. She is also buried in the Village Cemetery in Dawson Creek, B.C.
