Richard Falley
Hello Mr Godfrey,

I just sent you a suggestion for the Richard Falley Memorial regarding Shay's Rebellion. I grew up in Springfield, MA and still live nearby. I've uploaded many memorials to the Mechanic Street Cemetery from an inventory of the Westfield Historical Association a few years ago and took some photos. I took the shot of Richard Falley Sr's stone. I was drawn back to this memorial as I'm in the process of joining the Sons of the American Revolution. We're re-establishing a Western Mass Chapter and considering calling it the Falley Chapter in honor of your great grandfather's service a s Revolutionary War Patriot. There are other names "in contention"!!

If there's anything you need in or around Western Mass, and if I can help you in any way, feel free to contact me directly at dave@oldbones.co (...and that's not ".com"!)

Charles Godfrey (1751-1835), then his father:
James Godfrey (1751-1835), then his father:
Andrew Godfrey (1699-1815), then his father:
Andrew Godfrey (1670-1736), then his father:
Benjamin Godfrey (1632-1705), then his father:
Thomas Godfrey (1585-1664).

Also I just found this week a cemetery in New Jersey (Head of the River Cemetery), that has lots of Godfrey's that are related to Martha Jane Godfrey.

Feel free to email, and we can chat about the Godfrey research, when you have time.

Your fellow graver,
Karen Howard

RE: Godfrey Headstones
You are very welcome, I am glad I was able to take the photo's. I remember seeing there names on the request list, and I just happen to be in the same area of the cemetery, doing another photo request for someone else, and just happened by them, and decided to take the photo, then check when I got home.

So I truely feel, (they said), hey don't forget us. LOL

If you don't mind me asking you related to Martha Jane (Godfrey) Sutton-Potts (1854-1931), she was my husband's great grandmother-she is buried @ Highland Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Ks. I have researched the Godfrey's back too Thomas Godfrey-England (1585-1664). I would love to see if you are related to my husband's side, I have been working on several different branches for my husband.

Your fellow graver,
Karen
