MOSES HOAGLAND [1774-1850]
JAMES GAULT ( - 1798)

Descendant Documents or gedcom's in progress:
STODDARD MOORE ANDERSON [1765/8- 1857]
PETER TOMAS HOHL (Hull) [1716-1776]
NICHOLAS PEES [1713-1818]
ANDREW RUSSELL, SR.[1732-1814]
JOHANN GEORGE [JORG] SOMMERS/SUMMERS [1713-1787]

Next to all the wonderful volunteers who will take tombstone photos, I especially like the new link functions and the lengths Findagrave has gone to respect both family and volunteers efforts to create significant memorials while still giving full credit to the original creators both in name and in numbers. Thanks Findagrave!

I would be remiss if I didn't also express my gratitude to ROAGK volunteers who have found burial places and have taken tombstone photos as well, incuring costs for which they get little or no credit.

My hat's also off to findagravers building memorials and virtual cemetery combinations providing a vehicle to greatly enrich other researchers. Their time, energy and expense are also very impressive.

Most but not all of the listings are my ancestral lines. If my family but your connection is closer I will be happy to transfer to you with a very few exceptions in which years of study and collecting documentation and conferring with other long time researchers and genealogists have proven that online family trees are rife with error concerning the individual. Peter Thomas Hull is one of those people.

Corrections or additional info is very welcome

PLEASE use the EDIT/SUGGESTION functions to request links so I don't have to try to read my own awful handwriting and take twenty minutes to do a one minute task. Please include the name of the person with the number. Typos happen.

Thanks!!!

Earl W Clifton
We found a grave marker for Earl at Blue Ridge. He is buried next to Alma F Clifton (1896-1968), which seems to match who you think is his wife, but we couldn't find a memorial page for her.

Capt John Hoagland
I must have misread the message, but I better understand now. You were saying the same thing if he died how did he fight in the War of 1812. Do you have an email? Rather talk thru that about ancestry.

Capt John Hoagland
I'm really confused by you message because Aaron was linked to the Capt John Hoagland that died in 1782. If he died in 1782 then he couldn't be in the war of 1812. I had my DNA done and alot of matches all over the Hoagland and Newkirk side. Going back a few more generations than Capt John Hoagland, so can your extremely competent researchers tell me why that is, if I had it so wrong.
Thanks, for contacting me Kay

John Hoagland in the Hillside Cem is a different John Hoagland. I do not believe it is the one killed in Sandusky by the Indians. Some one else has added photos and comments not by me.

I did not attached the child either. Some one else's handiwork. Mike

Hi there - I am trying to reach a descendant of the Uptons and I see that you have posted a pic of their headstone. I have a Bible that belonged to them showing their birth dates and marriage date. I'd like to get it into the hands of someone in their family.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide!

Permission granted. Just an outsider opinion, for what its worth..... after reading it, the linked daughter sounds plausible. Not sure how proof would be established, though.

Hi,

I'm sorry; I thought I had verification for her maiden name, but now I can't find it. I'll delete the request until I can find evidence I can trust. Thanks for making the request so I had to look again.
