Next to all the wonderful volunteers who will take tombstone photos, I especially like the new link functions and the lengths Findagrave has gone to respect both family and volunteers efforts to create significant memorials while still giving full credit to the original creators both in name and in numbers. Thanks Findagrave!

I would be remiss if I didn't also express my gratitude to ROAGK volunteers who have found burial places and have taken tombstone photos as well, incuring costs for which they get little or no credit.

My hat's also off to findagravers building memorials and virtual cemetery combinations providing a vehicle to greatly enrich other researchers. Their time, energy and expense are also very impressive.

Most but not all of the listings are my ancestral lines. For any requests regarding linking, etc on memorials not of my family they will be transferred to you. If my family but your connection is closer I will be happy to transfer to you.

Corrections or additional info is very welcome

PLEASE use the EDIT/SUGGESTION functions to request links so I don't have to try to read my own awful handwriting and take twenty minutes to do a one minute task. Please include the name of the person with the number. Typos happen.

Thanks!!!

RE: James Gault descendants & their spouses
Thank you for all of the work you have done and for the transfer of the Gault memorials. I will take good care of them unless/until a closer relative requests a transfer.

RE: Jamison Beatty 58967753
I'm afraid that I am not related to Jameson Beatty. I am a distant cousin to his wife's half siblings. But I've spent time researching his family as it crossed paths with my "cousins" families. Jameson's daughter, Margaret Beatty Ralston, noted Jameson's birth year in her D.A.R. application. I kind of think that if anyone would know when he was born, it would have been a family member. And that birth year (1791) also ties into the claim made in his obituary that he was in his 68th year - so I assume it is a valid date. I know that date differs from what the 1850 census suggests, but I know that census records are often wrong - as I believe to be true in this case.

The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Volume 165 page 176
Mrs. Margaret Beatty Ralston.
DAR ID Number: 164559
Born in Washington County, Pa.
Wife of Robert Ralston.
Descendant of Ensign Benjamin Beatty, as follows:
1. Jameson Beatty (1791-1859) m. 1823 Margaret McIntyre (1805-1911).
See No. 164558.

Anyway....... that's what I have. I hope this helps.

RE: Gault family in McKeesport
I would be happy to assume responsibility for the Gault memorials unless you can find someone more closely related who would like to take them. My Find A Grave ID is 47092164.

Gault family in McKeesport
I am indeed related (distantly) to a Gault family who lived in McKeesport although I've never had any contact with them and don't know whether we are referring to the same Gault family.

William Boyd Butler (1824-1915) was my second cousin four times removed. His wife was Sarah A Gault (1839-1912). Both are buried at Monongahela. Their daughter, Sarah Ellen "Sadie" Butler (1861-1923) married John Arthur Gault (1865-1952). I believe they lived in McKeesport and had four children, at least some of whom remained in McKeesport.

I have other Gault relatives, descendants of James H Gault, Sr and June Detar Harrold who was my fifth cousin once removed. They also lived in Pennsylvania but to my knowledge, not in McKeesport.

RE: Garnet Scott
Thanks for taking care of them. Last year sometime they had some sort of glitch that made thousands for one person but in hundreds of different cemeteries. It was the craziest thing!

John Hammack
I apologize for not responding sooner to your message - my email keeps sending anything from Find a Grave to my junk folder no matter what I do. I searched my external hard drive for John Hammack's grave shot and I cannot find it. I'll call the cemetery and ask if they can tell me what section John is located in & I'll go back to find him. I'm sure I can go one day after work or on a weekend. I'll put a reminder on my phone to get back with you about him :)

RE: M. Hoagland photo
Hello,
I took a close up of the tombstone you ask about. I posted it on Moses Hoagland memorial. You can look for yourself and see what you think. I know they belong together because they are almost identical stones but...not sure what it says.
You can remove the picture after you view it if you want.
Thanks
