~~~Precious Gems~~~
If your heart feels heavy,
It may be weighted down,
With the many precious gems
You fail to pass around.
Diamonds are the loving words
You always leave unsaid.
Rubies are the seeds of joy
That you refuse to spread.
Emerald are the helping hands
Only offered grudgingly.
Sapphires are alms not given
To ease a fellowman's need.
Changing won't be easy
And it may even smart.
When you begin to mine those gems
Embedded in your heart.
It will take a lot of practice
Each and every day,
Learning that neglected art
Of giving yourself away.
First there'll be a secret fear
You may be refused,
Or sometimes deep resentments
That you are being used.
But as you sow your precious gems
Along life's many miles,
You'll notice how they sparkle
In people's happy smiles.
And your heart that was so heavy
Will grow to twice its size,
But be as light as a bird in flight
As it soars up to the skies.
"Transfers: I am not one of
those people who refuse to
transfer in or out of guidelines.
State up front how and why you
feel you should be the manager
of the memorial. I will use
my discretion, but as a general
Ask and ye shall receive, unless
you're 1 of those people who don't
transfer out of guidelines".
(I borrowed this from T.V.F.T.H)
If you are one of those people
the above poem is for you,
please read it and take it to
heart. I also don't like
veiled threats. So please don't
do that. It is so ugly.
For transfer request, please go
to edit. It will make it
easier for both of us.
If you have sent a correction
addition etc. please be patient,
and give me thirty days, to take
care of your request.
I am going to remove my e-mail
address, as I continue to receive
Transfers,corrections, additions
thru there, rather than thru edit
as I have requested above. Please
be sure to include the memorial
number as it is time consuming to
for members to have to look it up,
when you could just as easily send it.
Please do not post a death certificate
or an obituary in the photo section
on any of the memorials I manage.
The obituary should be typed and
submitted to be entered in the bio.
We want the memorials of those we
loved to be as nice as possible.
Elmer Schafer Queen of Peace WI
Hello from Michigan. I am researching my Schafer family, and came across Elmer Schafer's memorial. I have info on his family (his sister is my g-grandmother), and one of my genealogy roadblocks is finding his mother Kate's place of burial. Are you also related to this Schafer family? Please contact me here, or feel free to email me: Thank you!!
Claudia W (Hardy) Sugg (#90628998)
I noticed your memorial for Claudia Winifred (Hardy) Sugg (#90628998) had a date of death that is about a month prior to the date that is listed on her headstone (which is not yet pictured here but exists in the Sugg Cemetery, Bruce Street, Snow Hill, Greene County, North Carolina). I wanted to ask (if you remember after this long) what your source was for this date. Your date is 14 July 1887; her headstone (according to sources that I need to varify when I make a trip soon) list her death as 20 June 1887.
I hope I'm not being a bother, I see you get several messages here, I'm just trying to find the most reliable source for her death.
Checking back
Hello Janet,
I never heard back from you regarding the Robert Riley Roddy memorial. Did you get my apology and clarification message?
St Mary, Hamiton, OH
Colleagues, I am recording burial records and photographing all the tombstones in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton, OH. It is located about 2 miles from my home and easily accessible. I am retired and enjoyed being outdoors, particularly in the Spring and Fall. I have plats of the area and have photographed Sections D South and D North and am currently working on Section B. I use a Nikon GPS camera. I have 798 records to date, uploading this data (first 100) recently to Find-a-Grave.
Recently, I met with fellow researcher Don Lagadrost and am adopting his spreadsheet format to integrate my research into his extensive St. Stephen’s file format. We will post all in Find-a-Grave, where I have copied your email address.
Rather than replicate others work, I wish to complement what others may have completed at St. Mary’s, hence this note. If you have photographed or indexed the burials at St. Mary’s let us work together to complete this project and report all to Find-a-Grave. We all can use our time more wisely. I recently learned that the site is 96% completed (below).
Please contact me to better inform me on your work, to meet to plan our completion of the indexing and photography aspects of St. Mary, Lindenwald, Hamilton, OH.
Sincerely, Tom Montgomery
Brace Family
Hi -- I am trying to complete the Brace Family pictures in Green Lake Co, WI. I notice that you have the words Shrader/Schrader on the memorial for Daniel Brace 93539002. Do you know if that was a maternal or paternal link?
Pauline Paine - 87065800
Hello Janet,
I have submitted 2 edits and also left you a message but have not recievd any response. I would appreciate if you could transfer my great aunt's memorial to me. We have been searching for her memorial for a long time now. We were not finding it becuase her maiden name is incorrect. Saxon is her 2nd married name that she passed away under, She already had a plot with her first husband Joe. R. Paine. That is why Saxon is on her headstone but it is not her maiden name. Her maiden name is Sanders. I'm Christina Sanders, grandaughter to her only brother. Please transfer her memorial #87065800 to myself #47710100.
Thank You,
