Bio and Links
Bio Photo When I was born, we lived in Caldwell County, MO and now live in Daviess County, MO. I have lived in these two counties all my life, except for 7 years when I was a child and lived near Abilene, KS.
I have always enjoyed sitting at the table at family dinners and hearing the older people tell stories about people and times in the past.
I became involved in looking for my genealogy when I got a computer a few years ago. My grandparents are buried in Caldwell County and some of my great and great-great grandparents as well. Some of the names I am researching are LOONEY, SLOAN, FARR, GREEN on my side and HOOD, GARRISON, STORY, HARRIS on my husband's side.

I left a suggestion for you to change the birth year for Nancy from 1849 to 1819. She married Wiley Cope 4 Feb 1841 in Daviess Co. Mo.

Thanks, Linda Kaye Cope Lanier

Boyer Famil
One more thing.....I think what you are doing at Find A Grave is absolutely phenomenal! Your time and effort are so greatly appreciated. I, at one time was a contributor but since a heart attack, I cannot get out and trek the cemeteries like I used to. Keep up the good work. We need you.

Boyer family
Caryn, I am a very distant, shirt sleeve relative of the Boyer family. Effie May Searcy, sister to my g.g.grandmother on my mother's side, married John Freeland Boyer. In looking at FindAGrave, I see that the headstones for both Freeland Boyer and his wife, Elizabeth Creekmore, were added some time after their death. That is pretty evident in the condition and aging of the stone. I also notice that the dates are years only. I have the dates of birth and death which is a little different from what is on the stones. Being that the stones were added some time after the deaths, that is completely understandable. My only wish is that the people who do research on some of these gravesites have the correct dates, so they don't just skip over someone thinking that "Oh, that can't be them....the date is wrong." If you are maintaining the Boyer gravestones, and if you would like a little more on a few dates, please contact me and I will get you that information, if I have it. My email addy is Please contact me one way or another. Thank you.

Earnest Ross #136956095
Hello and thank you for posting the grave info for Ernest Ross and his first wife Anna Magaret "Peggy or Maggie" Moody Ross. Just found that Ernest remarried and died in 1949 in New York and is buried in the Rockland Cemetery. Not sure how you correct that he isn't buried with his first wife in the Osborn Evergreen Cemetery?

RE: Thompson Family History
Thanks for your effort and help. I was in Jamesport Mo. last November to visit my Grandparents who are buried in the Jamesport Memorial Cemetery and on the Thompson Family Farm Cemetery (about 4 mile east off Hwy F) and I cant find any Maps or plot listing of the Thompson's that are buried there? I hoped you might have something for me on them? Thanks again. Fred
