If your heart feels heavy,
It may be weighted down,
With the many precious gems
You fail to pass around.
Diamonds are the loving words
You always leave unsaid.
Rubies are the seeds of joy
That you refuse to spread.
Emerald are the helping hands
Only offered grudgingly.
Sapphires are alms not given
To ease a fellowman's need.
Changing won't be easy
And it may even smart.
When you begin to mine those gems
Embedded in your heart.
It will take a lot of practice
Each and every day,
Learning that neglected art
Of giving yourself away.
First there'll be a secret fear
You may be refused,
Or sometimes deep resentments
That you are being used.
But as you sow your precious gems
Along life's many miles,
You'll notice how they sparkle
In people's happy smiles.
And your heart that was so heavy
Will grow to twice its size,
But be as light as a bird in flight
As it soars up to the skies.

"Transfers: I am not one of
those people who refuse to
transfer in or out of guidelines.
State up front how and why you
feel you should be the manager
of the memorial. I will use
my discretion, but as a general
Ask and ye shall receive, unless
you're 1 of those people who don't
transfer out of guidelines".
(I borrowed this from T.V.F.T.H)
If you are one of those people
the above poem is for you,
please read it and take it to
heart. I also don't like
veiled threats. So please don't
do that. It is so ugly.
For transfer request, please go
to edit. It will make it
easier for both of us.
If you have sent a correction
addition etc. please be patient,
and give me thirty days, to take
care of your request.
I am going to remove my e-mail
address, as I continue to receive
thru there, rather than thru edit
as I have requested above. Please
be sure to include the memorial
number as it is time consuming to
for members to have to look it up,
when you could just as easily send it.
Please do not post a death certificate
or an obituary in the photo section
on any of the memorials I manage.
The obituary should be typed and
submitted to be entered in the bio.
We want the memorials of those we
loved to be as nice as possible.

Token, by token do you mean the little sewing machine find a grave, "flower?" I do know about those! Also with phones and iPads it is possible to copy nearly anything these days, while not proper or right to do so without permission from the owner/author it has and will be done more and more, as it is so easy to do! I do ask and try to credit whenever I do, as that is how it should be done. I don't intend to copy or break rules, though certainly may or may have, as it can happen.
Thanks again! I will be adding your poem and machine to Katherine's grave shortly! So fun!!!
I need to put you on my friends also!
Lastly, an Adams family member just asked me about if the Adamski's are related to the Adams family, or a mutation of the Adams name, or a totally different last name?

Janet, thank you so much! I love the poem! My grandma, born Veronica Leona Adams just turned 100 years young, and she has made many quilts! Plus, our daughter just discovered a quilt at my mothers house over Christmas that was made by her mother much more than 100 years ago, as Verna remembers sleeping under it as a child! So, the more we looked at it, found that Katherine had sewn a new quilt over the top of a more worn quilt underneath...! All just gorgeous and much handiwork on this piece! Of course both Katherine and Verna's generations never wasted anything! They understood. "reuse- reduce-recycle!"
So guess I told you more than you wanted to know, but seeing your poem and sewing machine warmed my heart too!
I can't understand anyone giving you a hard time over the grave work you have generously provided! I think you have been wonderful to add all that you have! Gosh, your work will be enjoyed and shared for generations to benefit and enjoy! That's a great legacy!

|Cris Brown||Duff Family|
I am sorry I have only Daniel, Rachel and Shadrack Duff down on my family tree...I'm still involved in researching the closer generations. If I do catch up with where you are, I'd be happy to share..the more distant, the harder the enthusiasm I am afraid, all the best to you. Cris Brown

I happened to be working in Find A Grave when your request came in so it wasn't much of a problem. You're welcome!
|Robert H||RE: Monkhouse in Jewella Cem|
Thanks, will give that a try.
"Now that Find A Grave has computerized the memorials, you if haven't already should try to link the family members. Or send a e-mail to info@Findagrave.com and ask for administrative help."

|Nancy ||William Ashley Andrews|
I am a descendant of Wm. A. Andrews. I am wondering since there is not a photo of Mr. Andrews headstone where his birth and death dates were located? I found a cemetery list with his wife's name but no dates or photo for her either. Any direction or help would be greatly appreciated!!
Many thanks, Nancy Bartlett
