Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born at St. Vincent's Orphanage in Chicago. Because of the federal, State and local laws denying adoptees their basic civil rights to their original birth certificates and adoption records, I spent 30 years searching for clues to my biological families by searching libraries for obituaries and for information in old phone books, etc. This entailed a LOT of travel because I did this prior to the explosion of personal computers and online databases and resources for research into genealogy. Unless you are an adoptee, I don't think you will fully understand the extreme joy and connection I experienced when I found the graves of my biological maternal grandparents! And the information contained on those markers led me to finding my maternal half siblings. It also led me to tracing my own ancestry back more than 7 generations. I couldn't be happier if my contributions to Find A Grave can help someone in their genealogy research or in feeling a bit of that connection I felt when I found my biological grandparents' graves.

I had been posting obituaries I obtained from online sources to the memorials I add to Find-A-Grave. But, Find-A-Grave's FAQ (#89) concerning the posting of such obituaries is rather specific. So, I no longer post such obituaries.

RE: Ginther Wilharm

I cc'd you on my e-mail to my husband's cousin and I have YET to receive a response from any of these family members.

If, they don't care, then why should we?

Please, close all of the "Wilharm" requests. You have been SO kind, though it's time to us to "move-on" . . .

I sincerely appreciate your prompt and attentive support in this matter and wish you all our best wishes.

Warmest regards, Mari Mills

Roman Pucinski, who was a Congressman as well as an alderman, and his first wife, Aurelia Bordin Pucinski (1918-1983), had a daughter, Aurelia, who is the one who was still alive in 2006.

Agree that information should probably go on Roman's memorial. However, we have not figured out a way to do that, since his memorial is handled by Find A Grave. We were thinking that someone doing grave listings in St. Joseph's Cemetery might determine whether Aurelia is also buried there.
